About This Demo

In an alternate-history 2005, the forgotten ’80s platformer Cocoboy has re-entered the spotlight, sparking the rise of a niche community of passionate fans.

COCOBOY Demo Disc is a culmination of around the first year of COCOBOY's development. The contents of this demo include:

• Lost Attic's tutorial area and the first level, Coco Coast.

• 5 Modcart abilities.

• 18 collectible merchandise items.

• Full support for Keyboard & Mouse, Controller, and Steam Deck.

• All major planned game systems and quality of life features, including save data and settings.

• A bonus level from the game jam version, now known as the Gray Wastes.

  • This level isn't planned for the full release, but it's here to give more content to play with while more levels are being developed.

• A fully functional VHS player, including a hand-animated cartoon and live-action FMV segment

A prototype version was originally developed in one week for Vinesauce's Shroomjam 2024. After seeing how much the original game resonated, we decided to continue development and make COCOBOY a full game.
