What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We believe that developing Sproutmart alongside its community will result in a more enjoyable and better-balanced game. Early Access allows us to gather feedback on its core systems, including grocery store management, farming, fishing, progression, customization, and online co-op. Player feedback will help us identify which areas need improvement and prioritize future development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Sproutmart to remain in Early Access for approximately 12–24 months. This estimate may change depending on development progress and community feedback. Our priority is to reach the level of quality, stability, and content we believe the full version requires.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand Sproutmart throughout Early Access with additional products, crops, fish, production options, furniture, decorations, progression, and store and farm upgrades.

We also plan to improve and expand customer and employee systems, balancing, user interface, performance, visual presentation, and overall quality of life. Additional mechanics and content may be introduced based on development priorities and community feedback.

These plans may change as development progresses, and we will use Early Access to determine which additions and improvements provide the most value to the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core Sproutmart gameplay experience and can be played solo or in online co-op for up to four players.

Players can stock and price products, operate checkouts, serve customers, manage their economy and warehouse, expand and customize their store, hire employees, grow crops, catch fish, and use production machines to create additional goods.

The game includes progression, store upgrades, furniture and decorations for wall and floor, save functionality, and a complete day-to-day gameplay loop. As an Early Access release, some areas may still require balancing, optimization, bug fixes, and additional polish.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may gradually increase the price as significant new content and features are added during Early Access or when the game reaches its full release. Any pricing changes will be announced in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community through In-game feedback, Steam discussions, Discord, social media, development updates, feedback posts, and polls.

Players will be able to report bugs, suggest improvements, and share feedback about balancing, progression, multiplayer, and new content. We also plan to use player feedback and testing to help us prioritize updates and improve the overall experience throughout Early Access.”

About This Game

Welcome to Sproutmart — a hands-on grocery store sim where you stock shelves, scan items at the checkout, and grow your business day by day. Set up your aisles, choose what to sell, and build a store that feels like your own.

Customers come in throughout the day, shelves need refilling, and the register gets busy. Stay organized, restock regularly, and keep everything flowing to earn more and expand faster. As you grow, hire NPC employees to help with tasks like restocking and checkout.

Start small and build up. Expand your space, unlock new products, and customize your shop with decorations so it looks and feels like your store — not just another layout.

Support your store with your own supply. Grow and prepare goods to stock your shelves, reduce costs, and keep popular items available without relying entirely on suppliers. Place crafting machines to turn ingredients into new products and expand what you can sell.

Step away from the counter and go fishing to bring back extra goods you can sell for profit.

Play solo or team up online. Split tasks naturally — checkout, restocking, storage, farming, and more — and build your store together.
