What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access because the game is still actively being developed. While the core gameplay is already playable, we plan to add new features, game modes, and improvements based on community feedback. Early Access allows us to test the game with real players, gather feedback, and deliver the final release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently anticipate Okey remaining in Early Access for approximately 6 months.

The exact duration may change depending on the development of new game modes, additional features, technical improvements, and community feedback. Our goal is not to rush the release, but to leave Early Access when the game reaches the level of content, stability, and polish we are aiming for.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version focuses on providing a stable and enjoyable core Okey experience while allowing us to gather valuable player feedback. For the full release, we plan to expand the game with additional Okey variants beyond Classic and 101, such as multiplier-based rule sets, as well as an automated matchmaking system. We also plan to introduce new social and competitive features, such as tournaments, match history, scorekeeping, and other quality-of-life improvements. Community feedback will play an important role in helping us prioritize new features and refine the overall experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version is fully playable and offers a complete online multiplayer Okey experience for four players. All core systems — gameplay, lobbies, chat, cross-play, progression, and platform support — are implemented and live.

Game Modes

Classic Okey – The traditional four-player Okey game, including indicator-throw wins and joker (okey) replacement moves.
Okey 101 – A four-player version of Okey based on the 101 ruleset, with the 101-point opening rule and per-hand scoring.
An in-game illustrated rulebook explains both modes with real tile examples of valid and invalid melds.
Multiplayer & Lobbies

Lobby System – Players can create their own lobbies and invite friends using a Lobby ID (with one-click copy), or browse the live lobby list showing open lobbies and in-progress matches.
Password-Protected Lobbies – Players can optionally protect their lobbies with a password.
Ready System – The match starts once all four players are ready.
IncirCoin Wagering – Lobbies can set an IncirCoin bet amount; the pot is displayed and paid out to the winner.
Reconnect & AFK Protection – If a player disconnects, the game automatically attempts to reconnect and the seat is held; a bot temporarily plays the seat until the player returns and rejoins the same match.
Social Features

Global Chat – Players can communicate with other players in the main menu.
Lobby Chat – Players can chat with others in their current lobby.
In-Game Chat – Players can communicate during an active match, including a quick-chat wheel for controller players.
Player Avatars – Steam and Discord profile pictures are shown in the menu, lobby, leaderboard, and at the table.
Cross-Play & Accounts

Steam and Discord Cross-Play – Steam and Discord players can play together in the same matches. The game also runs as a Discord Activity directly inside Discord.
Steam/Discord Account Linking – Players can connect their Steam and Discord accounts and receive 100 IncirCoin as a linking reward.
Progression & Economy

IncirCoin – An in-game currency earned through gameplay, including winning matches, super-win bonuses, daily login rewards, and announcements.
Global Leaderboard – Players can compete on a global leaderboard connected to IncirCoin.
Platforms & Input

Desktop and Mobile Support – The game is available across desktop and mobile platforms.
Full Controller Support – Complete gamepad navigation across all menus, an on-screen keyboard for text input, contextual button prompts, and selectable Xbox/PlayStation/Switch icon styles.
Quality of Life

Two Languages – Full English and Turkish localization with runtime language switching.
Two UI Themes – Dark and Light themes, plus selectable tile-set skins.
Gameplay Assistance – Auto-arrange hand (runs/pairs) with undo, playable-tile highlights, ghost placement previews, and contextual feedback for invalid moves.
Audio Options – Sound effects, win/lose music, and a persistent volume setting.
The current version does not include automated matchmaking. Players currently join games by creating or joining lobbies; matchmaking and additional Okey game modes are planned for future updates.

The game is free-to-play, and the Early Access period allows us to continue improving the experience, adding new content, fixing issues, and responding to player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to change the pricing model during or after Early Access. The game is intended to remain free to play, while we continue to expand the experience with new content, features, and improvements based on community feedback.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We actively gather feedback from our community, especially through our Discord server, and use it to help shape the game's development. Community feedback has already influenced our plans, including the decision to add new game modes such as Okey 101. During Early Access, we will continue listening to bug reports, gameplay suggestions, and feature requests to help prioritize improvements and future content. We also plan to share development updates and keep players informed as the game evolves.”

About This Game

Okey is a free-to-play multiplayer board game for four players, featuring both Classic Okey and Okey 101. Create a lobby, invite your friends with a Lobby ID, wager IncirCoin, and play together across Steam and Discord — on desktop, mobile, or with a controller.

TWO GAME MODES

Classic Okey — The traditional four-player game played with 106 tiles. Draw, discard, and race to arrange your hand into runs and sets before anyone else. Finish with a normal win, throw the indicator tile for a special win, or land a Super Win for bonus gold.

Okey 101 — The strategic variant. Open combinations worth at least 101 points, add tiles to melds already on the table, take the okey back from opened sets, and keep your penalty points as low as possible.

HOW IT PLAYS

Each round, one tile is revealed to determine the okey — the wild tile. On your turn, draw a tile from the pile or take the last discarded tile, then discard one from your rack. Arrange your hand into runs of consecutive numbers in the same color and sets of the same number in different colors. The first player to complete their hand and discard their final tile wins the round.

New to Okey? An illustrated in-game rulebook teaches both modes with real examples of valid and invalid melds — and in-game hints highlight which tiles you can actually play.

PLAY WITH FRIENDS

- Create a lobby and share its Lobby ID with one click.

- Browse the live lobby list, or protect your lobby with a password.

- Set an optional IncirCoin bet — winner takes the pot.

- When all four players hit Ready, the match begins.

Lost connection? Your seat is held: a bot covers your turn until you reconnect and rejoin the same match.

STEAM x DISCORD CROSS-PLAY

Steam and Discord players share the same servers and the same matches. Okey even runs as a Discord Activity, directly inside a voice channel — so your friends can join your table without owning the game on Steam. Link your Steam and Discord accounts to earn a one-time reward of 100 IncirCoin.

CHAT EVERYWHERE

Talk in the global chat in the main menu, coordinate in your lobby chat, and banter at the table with in-game chat — including a quick-chat wheel for controller players. Steam and Discord avatars appear in menus, lobbies, and at the table.

INCIRCOIN AND THE GLOBAL LEADERBOARD

Earn IncirCoin by winning matches, landing super wins, and claiming daily login rewards — then climb the global leaderboard and compete with players across both platforms.

PLAY YOUR WAY

- Desktop and mobile support, with console platforms planned for the future.

- Full controller support — complete menu navigation, an on-screen keyboard for text input, and Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch button prompts.

- English and Turkish, switchable at any time.

- Dark and Light themes, plus selectable tile skins.

- Auto-arrange your hand into runs or pairs with a single click.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Early Access currently focuses on a stable, polished multiplayer experience with Classic Okey and Okey 101. There is no automated matchmaking yet. Matches are played through lobbies. Additional Okey game modes, matchmaking, and quality-of-life updates are planned based on player feedback.

Okey is free-to-play and will continue to evolve together with its community.
