왜 앞서 해보기를 하나요?

“This game is meant to evolve over time and development will continue even after release. In order to do this, it is important for us to gather feedback to be able to implement the most requested features. We aim to fluidify the ship building process and involve the community in creating ships, missions and addressing balance issues.”

이 게임의 앞서 해보기 기간은 얼마인가요?

“Development will continue as it only makes sense for a sandbox game to keep growing over time in terms of content. I hope to be able to add more foes, parts, and a cleaner UI by the beginning of 2026. You can however rest assured that the early access version will already be shipped with a 4-8 hours of gameplay campaign.”

정식 버전은 앞서 해보기 버전과 어떻게 달라지나요?

“The final version should contain more content in a general way, more polished sound design, and even different maps and weather conditions for themed missions. It is planned to improve the mission editor with added settings, improve the diversity of missions by having differing foes behaviour, and enhance the capacities of the ship editor by provinding more tools to speed up the building process, such as the possibility to extrude hulls.”

지금 앞서 해보기 버전은 어떤 상태인가요?

“As of today ShipCrafter already contains a fully playable campaign with more than 50 missions, a simple custom mission editor, a ship editor, and more than 80 parts and cosmetics. For more information about the current state of the in game content, you can refer to the "Features" section of the store page.”

“The price is guaranteed to remain constant until full release. It may change after release if a completely novel campaign is added. DLCs are not planned and the game will always be sold as a whole.”

“Anyone can provide feedback on the game through the official ShipCrafter discord server. It is planned for the community to influence the development through general requests (adding ship parts, cosmetics, balancing), and by sharing ship files to be included in game for more diverse missions, or additional ones.

Game description

ShipCrafter is an upcoming naval sandbox combat simulator. Build you ship, unlock new parts, and defeat increasingly powerful foes !

Challenge adversaries in the campaign and liberate europe, or battle your own creations in the custom battle mode, and try to come up with the most efficient and original design.

Realtime physics

We want to make a game with accurate physics. As such we implemented a realtime buoyancy system based on weight and submerged volume. The ship density and center of mass is displayed in editor, allowing to fine tune your ship and even make submarines using ballasts !

Weaponery physics were particularly cared for as well, with fully simulated shell trajectories considering air pressure, changes in density through the atmosphere, and the influence of speed on shells drag value. Penetration calculations are calculated based on armor thickness, angle of incidence, bounce probability, and shell speed and mass.

Features

  • 1x1m sized blocks for the highest visual and physical accuracy.

  • Color mode in editor.

  • Realtime buoyancy simulation even considering ocean waves.

  • Various armor thicknesses and accurate penetration calculation based on speed, mass and angle of incidence.

  • Realistic ballistic trajectories even considering changes in the air pressure with altitude. Speeds and distances are however reduced to increase the nervosity of combats (in reality it would take more than a minute to hit a target at 20km).

  • Adjustable ballasts for submarine designs.

  • Physics based damages instead of healthbars. Turrets and engines will also lose performance if hit.

  • Weather system and day cycles, including changes in ocean waves amplitude and rain.

  • Campaign with more than 50 missions.

  • More than 20 different ships to defeat.

  • Custom battle editor, including weather, time of day selection, and bots vs bots naval battles.

  • Manual and automatic control mode for weaponery.

  • Realtime fluid simulation (experimental).

  • Visit your ship in first person view.

  • Steam Workshop supported.
