Why Early Access?

“UNKIND is a fast-paced VR shooter with deep weapon and character customization. We want to create a game that feels amazing to play, but also stays fresh and replayable long-term. Early Access gives us the chance to build UNKIND with the community’s help.
Player feedback is critical for tuning mechanics, balancing content and expanding features. Whether it’s combat flow, weapon builds, difficulty scaling or unlock pacing, we want your input to shape the experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We’re aiming to leave Early Access around 3 years after a first release, depending on feedback and progress. Our goal is to leave Early Access when the core loop is rock -solid and there’s a satisfying amount of content and replayability.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We aim to expand UNKIND over time with content such as:
* More handcrafted arenas
* New enemy types, minibosses and big bosses
* Expanded arsenal of weapons and attachments
* Additional player upgrades, perks and long-term unlock systems
* New game modes and modifiers
* More story content and narrative reveals
* Full polish on visuals, performance, UI/UX and balancing
Early Access will launch with the core gameplay loop already functional and fun, but we’re aiming for the final version to offer more content, variety, and refinement based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“UNKIND is currently in active development. At the time of Early Access launch, you can expect:
* Fast-paced VR arena combat
* Several handcrafted environments
* Core enemy variety (cyberpunk citizens, mutated humans, etc.)
* Weapon customization and upgrade system
* Player progression with unlocks
* Leaderboards and challenge structure
* Adaptive soundtrack and stylized cyberpunk visuals
The goal is to deliver a playable and enjoyable combat experience from day one with plenty of room to grow.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Most likely, yes. We expect the price to increase after Early Access as we add more content and polish. Players who support us early will get the game at a lower price and help shape it in the process.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is central to our development philosophy. We’ll use Discord as our main hub for discussion, feedback, bug reporting and feature requests.

About This Game

A single player VR arena shooter set in a neon soaked cyberpunk city built into the clouds.

An alien crystal changed the world. Now, corporations rule with weaponized addiction and you’re the one thing standing in their way.

Run, shoot and survive in a brutal combat loop. Slay mutants, crush cybernetically enhanced enemies and stack upgrades until you're an unstoppable killing machine. Break the system. Burn it down.

The Story

When an asteroid struck Earth, it brought with it an alien crystal with mysterious properties. Crystals now grow high above ground and humanity built towering vertical cities to harvest them.

But contact with the unrefined mineral causes horrific mutations.

Corporations continue to mine the crystals with disregard for safety protocols, resulting in workers being unintentionally mutated due to negligence and unsafe conditions. Meanwhile, they sell addictive, subscription based enhancements derived from processed crystal to a society too dependent to question it.

Their robot enforcers designed as corporate controlled police maintain order with brutal efficiency.
