Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“During Early Access, we want to test systems, try out new content, and refine the experience based on community feedback.
We’re planning to release the full version of The Virtual Buddy by the end of 2025.
Until then, our goal is to expand the game step by step and turn it into a richer, more polished, and enjoyable experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of The Virtual Buddy is planned to offer a richer experience with more content and interactions.
During Early Access, we're gathering feedback, testing systems, and gradually introducing new features.

In the future, we’re exploring ideas such as new buddies, mini-games, decoration options, customization systems, and some social features.
Improving user experience, optimizing performance, and creating a lively desktop environment are also key goals.

With the full release, we aim to make the digital buddy experience deeper and more enjoyable overall.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Virtual Buddy is currently fully playable.
The initial version includes desktop buddies, a core needs system (hunger, thirst, energy, mood, health, toilet), interactive mini-games, accessories, decorative items, and drag-and-drop placement.

The basic gameplay loop, behavior logic, and need tracking systems are all working.
The first virtual buddy characters are fully animated and respond to different conditions.

Future updates will expand content and systems, but we already offer a fun and solid experience to start with.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We want to offer the game at a very accessible price during Early Access.
As we move toward the full release, we plan to apply a small price increase to reflect the added content, features, and improvements.

The base game will remain accessible, but some new characters, items, and decoration content may be released in the future as optional DLC packs, allowing players to expand their experience if they wish.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will be one of the most important guides in the development of The Virtual Buddy.
We plan to actively communicate through Steam discussions, reviews, and platforms like Discord.

Community opinions will help shape what features we prioritize, what content we expand, and which issues we address first.

Regularly sharing ideas, reviewing suggestions, and being transparent about progress will be core parts of our process.”
