Varför Early Access?

“The first game, Steam Marines, launched in Early Access and did well there with the help of player feedback and refinement.

Steam Marines 2 is slated to be a more complex game than its predecessor. Besides being in 3D as opposed to 2D, there is a campaign mode and a post-campaign open world universe in the world.

It is absolutely likely that what I see for the future of the game will not be what players see, or what they'd necessarily enjoy. Early Access helps with that!”

“Steam Marines 2 is intended to be fully released in 2020.”

“Steam Marines 2's Early Access version is focused on getting the campaign and core game down: the turn-based tactics, defining the marine class roles, and balancing enemy units and gear and upgrade paths.

The full version aims to more fully flesh out universe where the player can explore a procedurally universe and continue to build and upgrade the ship and crew.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“Currently Steam Marines 2 has all of the original Steam Marines marine classes implemented and players can play through the campaign missions. The campaign is intended to be short-medium length per run and repeatable with procedurally generated levels.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“It is likely that the Steam Marines 2 price will increase over the course of development during Early Access as well as having a final price change just prior to full release.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“Similar to Steam Marines's Early Access Process I intend to take community feedback into account and tackle any and all bugs reported. Hopefully those who stayed with me throughout the first game's Early Access can attest to how open I am about game development!”
