What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access because Zangyou is designed to be a deep, atmospheric exploration of a liminal “backrooms” world under the neon streets of Shibuya. Early Access players will help us refine pacing, puzzle difficulty, shard-collecting flow, and environmental storytelling before our full launch. Your feedback will directly shape new floors, environmental variety, and the narrative snippets unlocked by the communication device shards.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Zangyou to remain in Early Access for 6–9 months, during which we plan to add at least 4 new floors, refine the UI and controls, and polish lighting & soundscapes. After that, we’ll move to a 1.0 release when we feel the world is complete and the core mechanics are rock-solid.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In Early Access, you’ll explore the 32nd and 23rd floor of the office building, hunt for shard fragments, and unlock pieces of the story. The full 1.0 release plans to expand that to lower floors each with unique locations, introduce alternative routes and hidden wings, add a new “pursuit” AI enemy and additional endings based on shard-collection choices.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Right now, ZangyouD includes:

The 32nd explorable floor (Office) and 23rd floor.

Core movement, lighting, and audio systems fully implemented.

We’re still balancing pacing and puzzle hints.

You may encounter occasional art placeholders, and some sound effects and VFX will be polished during Early Access. Features like full Steam achievement integration and Steam Cloud are enabled but may need fine-tuning as we go.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to keep our launch price stable through Early Access and into full release. As we ship major content updates—new floors, story branches, and gameplay features—we may adjust the price to reflect the growing scope, but any change will be announced well in advance so Early Access supporters always get the best value.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Regular Playtest Builds: We plan to drop new builds every 4–6 weeks for Early Access players to try upcoming floors and mechanics.

Discord & Feedback Forums: We’ll host dedicated channels for bug reports, balance feedback, and story suggestions.

Developer Updates: Bi-weekly devblogs on Steam and our website with “behind the scenes” art, patch notes, and roadmap previews—where you can vote on upcoming feature priorities.

This ensures your voice shapes everything from puzzle hints to lighting tweaks, making Zangyou a game we build together.”

About This Game

Step into a familiar yet subtly wrong version of modern-day Shibuya.

What begins as a routine morning commute quietly unravels. You awaken in your office after hours. Everyone is gone. The city lights outside feel distant, artificial.

From the 32nd floor, you must descend through echoing corridors, sealed elevators, and rooms that seem to rearrange themselves when you're not looking. Along the way, you’ll gather fragments of a forgotten device, each “shard” unlocking strange messages and impossible truths.

Are you navigating a glitch in space… or your own fractured memory?
