Why Early Access?

“Sigil Arena is releasing in Early Access to involve players directly in the development process. Previous private play testing sessions have already provided valuable feedback, and we believe that expanding this to a broader community will help us deliver a more polished and balanced game.

The current version already includes fully playable 1v1 matches with matchmaking (against players, friends, or bots), as well as over 120 cards across 4 unique magic disciplines (classes) with distinct mechanics.

The game currently uses provisional AI-generated art. The final version aims to replace this with artwork created by professional artists.

We also plan to expand the game significantly with new cards, classes, mechanics (such as relics and heroes), and additional game modes.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Sigil Arena to remain in Early Access for approximately 12 to 18 months, depending on player feedback and development progress.

During this time, we will release frequent updates focused on improving balance, expanding content, and refining the overall experience. The transition to a full release will depend on the game reaching a higher level of polish, content completeness, and overall quality.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to be a more polished and feature-complete version of the game.
We plan to improve:
- Visuals (final artwork)
- Sound effects and music
- Game feel and UI/UX
- Matchmaking and ranked systems
- Community features (friends, chat, profiles)
- Player progression systems

We also plan to expand the game’s scope with:
- Additional magic disciplines (classes)
- A relic system (passive effects)
- A hero system (unique abilities and play styles per magic discipline)
- PvE content
- New PvP modes
- More cards”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes over 120 cards across 4 unique magic disciplines (classes).

Players can participate in 1v1 matches through matchmaking, play with friends, or challenge AI opponents. A tutorial is included to introduce core mechanics.

All gameplay content is currently free, allowing players to experiment with different decks and strategies.

We actively monitor gameplay data (such as win rates and card usage) to guide frequent balance updates and improvements.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Sigil Arena will be free to play during Early Access, with continuous content updates.

We expect the game to remain free to play after full release. Monetisation, if introduced, will focus on optional cosmetic content such as skins or emotes. Final decisions on monetisation are still being evaluated.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is central to the development of Sigil Arena.

Players can share feedback through our Discord server and in-game systems. We also analyse gameplay data to guide balance changes and improvements.

Community feedback may directly influence development priorities, including future features and content updates.”

Sigil Arena is an online 1v1 card battler set in a magical academy, where every duel is a test of strategy and resource mastery. Build your deck, control your mana, and outsmart your opponent in fast-paced matches.

Key features:

  • Create your deck using a collection of more than 100 cards with unique effects! There are countless synergies and play styles to experience.

  • Choose a magic discipline for your deck. Each discipline has different cards and mechanics. Would you choose to specialise your deck with the aggressive Fire magic? Or perhaps you prefer to use Ice magic to defend yourself from your opponents?

  • Participate in battles against other players or against your friends. Battles are fast paced, ranging from 5 to 10 minutes.

This game is still in active development. As such, new content, new cards, new magic disciplines and new features will constantly be added. Become a part of the early testers today! Your feedback will shape the future of the game.
