What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We plan to use Early Access to get real, meaningful player feedback on a large scale. As we continue to improve our game and implement new features, we also seek ongoing feedback from our player base to help guide the direction of the game’s content and overall growth.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect the game to be in Early Access for approximately 12 to 24 months, depending on community feedback.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“There are multiple features we currently plan to add and improve on over Early Access into our Full Release, including a Friends System, Ranked Mode, and Tournament System. We also plan to continually add new content to the game, including new cosmetics, card skins, game room items, and more! Once the game has launched into Full Release, we still plan to listen to our community as we continue to make updates, fixes, and release new content for our players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“For Early Access, the core gameplay loop and core mechanics of the game are fully implemented. The entire game is fully playable in both two-player and four-player modes. Player leveling progression and card progression are also implemented. The game also contains a wide array of customization options for the player to unlock and use in customizing their player profile and the game room they play in.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“While we plan to continually release new content both during and after Early Access, we will be raising the price slightly once all of our features have been released and we have left Early Access.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve our community through our Discord, Twitter, and other social media. We also plan to use the Community Hub to release frequent updates, announcements, Dev Diaries, and reach out for community feedback through polls and Q/As.

About This Game

Skully Bunnies is a fast paced, competitive, party card game. To win the game, a player must be the first to fuse 3 Skully Bunnies together. Strategy fused with luck of the draw creates intense gameplay. The fun factor to this game is not only unique, but highly contagious. Skully Bunnies card game creates new fast paced action mixed like never before.

Skully Bunnies pits players against each other in a strategic battle to fuse 3 Skully Bunnies in order to win. Players share one deck and have every advantage and disadvantage the game offers, it's all based on luck of the draw and how you play your cards. Players will draw from the same deck using the same types of cards throughout the game: bunnies, skulls, fusion items, spells, spell-cancel and Skully Bunnies. As players draw cards from the deck and put cards into play they will be challenged by other players using spell cards. To win the game use everything at your disposal to fuse three Skully Bunnies based on the number of players. It doesn’t matter how you do it, you just gotta be the first one! Turns go clockwise around the table, and each turn is made up of four phases.

1.) Upkeep - This allows you to reorganize your cards in play if needed.

2.) Draw Phase - Draw one card from the Draw Deck.

3.) Action Phase - Play one card from your hand or Draw one more card from the Draw Deck.

4.) End of Your Turn - Discard down to the hand limit. (If you are holding more than seven cards.)

Cards Specifics:

Bunnies, Skulls and Fusion items are the core cards that you need to make a Skully Bunny. Place a Bunny, then a Skull, and then give them a Fusion Item to turn them into a Skully Bunny.

There are four groups known as Radical, Ancient, Dark and Mystic. Each group has six bunnies, skulls and fusion items that can form six unique Skully Bunnies with six different abilities. Skully Bunnies have six unique abilities that can also help or hinder gameplay. Each group of Skully Bunnies have one of the six abilities. This means that there are six of each ability amongst the 4 groups of Skully Bunnies.

Ability #1 - When fused this Skully Bunny can discard one skull card in play.

Ability #2 - When fused this Skully Bunny can search the discard pile for a skull or bunny, add that card to your hand.

Ability #3 - When fused this Skully Bunny allows the player to draw the top 3 cards of the deck, add 1 to your hand and discard the other 2.

Ability #4 - This Skully Bunny allows the player to play 2 cards on their turn. This ability activates the next turn after fusion.

Ability #5 - This Skully Bunny cannot be discarded or destroyed.

Ability #6 - When fused this Skully Bunny can play 2 bunnies or 2 skulls on their turn. This ability activates the next turn after fusion. Spell cards can help or hinder gameplay in two ways.

1.) Some spell cards do things like let you draw extra cards that turn or search the discard pile for a card that could benefit you.

2.) Other spell cards force players to discard a card or steal one of their cards in play. Spell-Cancel cards are used to stop a card from being played. This only works on bunnies, skulls, fusion items, spells and spell-cancel cards but not Skully Bunnies or Super Outta Luck spell-cancel cards. Super Outta Luck cards are limited to four per deck and once used are removed from the game.
