WHAT WILL YOU BECOME?

In a world where people are born from forests, Lena, the only child of a dying forest, is cast out and seen as a curse by her village. When the death of the tyrannical king, who condemned one of the forests to death by stealing its heart, ignites a deadly race for his power-steeped scepter, Lena seizes her chance to win the acceptance of the village by claiming it. But the forest that birthed her demands its stolen heart back, forcing Lena to choose between forcing love from the villagers or restoring life to the land that created her.

Combat in Cutout is built around one crucial idea: limbs are both targets and equipment.

Sever an enemy’s arm or leg, then attach it to Lena to change how she fights, moves, and survives. Equip powerful arms for new attacks, trade durability for speed, leap farther, move quietly, or reshape your build around the dangers ahead.

Your enemies play by the same rules. Leave a useful limb on the ground and they may claim it for themselves. Every fight can change who has the advantage, and what Lena becomes next.

A HANDCRAFTED DARK FAIRYTALE

Every character is cut from paper. Every path, ruin, prop, and threat is assembled from cardboard, pencils, glue, foil, and familiar household items.

What first looks like a child’s handmade theatre gradually reveals something harsher beneath the surface: a tactile world of fragile beauty, creeping decay, and shadows that never feel empty.

Cutout contains stylized fantasy violence and dark thematic material. Players fight fantastical enemies using a variety of weapons. Defeated enemies break apart and dissolve like paper, without blood, gore, nor realistic injury detail.
