About This Content

Mare Nostrum is a DLC for Victory At Sea Atlantic, expanding the game with five historical scenarios set in the sun-drenched but deadly waters of the Mediterranean, and introducing the Regia Marina as a fully playable faction with an entirely new roster of Italian warships.

Five Historical Scenarios

Bombardment of Genoa – February 1941. Force H strikes the Italian mainland. HMS Ark Royal, Renown, and Malaya bring the war directly to an Italian port in one of the Royal Navy's boldest operations of the year.

Matapan Prelude 1 – 28 March 1941, Dawn. A British cruiser squadron commanded by Vice Admiral Pridham-Wippell encounters Italian heavy cruisers in open water. The chase is on, but the Italians have more firepower and reinforcements are coming.

Matapan Prelude 2 – 28 March 1941, Midday. The Vittorio Veneto enters the battle. The hunters become the hunted as Admiral Iachino's flagship bears down on the British light forces.

Battle of Cape Matapan – 28 March 1941, Night. Admiral Cunningham's battleships catch the Italian fleet in the dark. Without radar and without warning, the Zara, Fiume, and Pola are trapped. The most decisive British naval victory of the Mediterranean war begins here.

Eagle's Strike – September 1943. The Italian fleet makes its final sortie. Command either side in this closing chapter of Italy's naval war.

An Entirely New Roster

The entire Italian roster is brand new to Victory At Sea Atlantic: no stand-ins, no substitutes. The Regia Marina arrives in full, and the Royal Navy's Mediterranean forces bring new classes of their own.

Italian: Littorio, Andrea Doria, and Conte di Cavour-class battleships; Zara and Trento-class heavy cruisers; Condottieri-class light cruisers; Etna-class cruisers; Aquila carrier; Navigatori, Oriani, and Soldati-class destroyers, plus the Reggiane Re.2001 Falco II fighter.

Royal Navy and Allied: Perth-class light cruisers (HMAS); Scott, D, and V&W-class destroyers; Tribal, E&F, and G&H-class destroyers.

Shared classes: the Tribal, E&F, G&H, and Soldati-class destroyers also feature in Fire in the Fjords. Own either pack and you'll have them in both.

All classes are available in the sandbox campaign alongside the base game's existing roster.

Requires Victory At Sea Atlantic to play.
