This phase will allow us to make improvements quickly based on your suggestions, ensuring that the final, full release is a well-rounded and polished experience that meets our players' expectations.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect that Medieval Lands will remain in Early Access for about 12 months. However, this timeline may change depending on player feedback and the scope of additional features we decide to implement during the development process.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game with additional maps, more diverse gameplay mechanics, and deeper progression systems. We also aim to continually refine the user interface and overall performance based on community feedback. The full version is intended to represent a stable and feature-rich expansion of the core Early Access experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version features a playable core gameplay loop. Players can jump in, explore our initial environments, utilize the base mechanics, and participate in both PvE and PvP experiences. While it represents an early version of our vision, the primary features listed in our 'About This' section are implemented and functional.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, Medieval Lands is free to play, and we plan to keep it free to play both during and after the Early Access period. There are no plans to introduce pay-to-win elements.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively engage with our community through our official Discord server, Steam Community Hub, and social channels. We will regularly read and evaluate player feedback, bug reports, and suggestions to help guide our development priorities and balance changes. The light of two moons shines down upon Oreneon, a land teetering on the edge of chaos. With a hand-drawn environment and a nostalgic feel, Medieval Lands is a classic fantasy MMORPG improved for contemporary players―whether you grew up playing games like this or are just starting out on your adventure. This is for everyone who loves old-school gaming, but wants a more accessible, polished experience. You’re welcome!

Medieval Lands is free to play, with no pay-to-win content. At all. We know how frustrating it is to watch other players skip the grind by buying their way through. Annoying. Duel-inducing. We got you. Focus on the game, not on your coin pouch. There are more important things to worry about―like the actual joy of the quest.

Play with your real-life buddies, or make some new friends from across the internet. Quest together, make guilds, and allow wild shenanigans to ensue. We know a friendly, healthy community is the heart of any good MMORPG. You can still choose to be a solo player if you prefer, although every adventure alongside your trusted companions is a special experience!

Choose from among nine fantasy races: the classic humans, elves, half-orcs, and dwarves, as well as more obscure dragonkind and nymphs and even a few original and unique races you’ll only see in Oreneon―Avecian, Wampex, and Oni-inspired demonkind. Change up your looks, confirm your character, and enter the world!

Have you ever created a character and regretted choosing to be a wizard because you’ve realized you’re a stealthy one at heart? Good news for you: in Medieval Lands, you’re not locked into a specific class. Learn the skills you want and create your own unique mix of combat with melee, archery, magic, summoning, and more. Your fate is your own!

Gather resources from the world around you to make weapons, armor, essences, potions, and more. There’s just something special about wielding a sword you made yourself, you know? And always having a stash of homemade healing potions is certainly a wise move. You can even place your goods for sale in the market stalls and make yourself some coin. Possibilities abound!

The gods have unleashed yet more cruel punishment upon the land―twisting its once peaceful creatures into monstrous perversions. If you think a panther is already a terrifying creature, you’re not ready for a panther covered in giant eyes.

You are a hero who deserves to wear the best of garb. Since Medieval Lands isn’t pay-to-win, the only in-game purchases are optional cosmetic items―clothing, mounts, etc. Venture through Oreneon looking like the epic adventurer you are!

From towering cities to dark caves, from lush islands to arid deserts, from market squares to mysterious forests, there’s an entire world to discover. We all have those spots in games where we like to linger. Take your time wandering and roaming, and see what adventures await!
