About This Game

À La Mine is a turn-based strategy game designed for 3 to 6 players, where dwarves compete for control of mining operations. Dominate the mine by winning auctions or using dynamite to eliminate your opponents in this ruthless struggle!

À La Mine offers a Friend Pass system that allows you to join a game without owning it.

You can:

  • Join your friends’ games for free if they own the game

  • Complete the tutorial to learn the mechanics and how the game works

You cannot:

  • Create or customize your own games

  • Accumulate progression

  • Unlock cosmetic items related to progression

  • Unlock Steam achievements

The Friend Pass lets you discover À La Mine and play with friends while reserving full progression and features for players who own the game.

First Phase – Build Your Network

During the first phase, you and your friends share the same goal: to acquire the largest connected set of territories.

Through auctions and confrontations, you must:

  • Expand your holdings

  • Block your opponents

  • Set up your position for the next phase

This phase lays the groundwork for the balance of power to come.

Second Phase – Owners vs. Workers

Once the first phase is over, the game changes. Depending on your situation, you take on a new role:

The Owners

If you control enough connected territories, you become an owner.

Your goal is clear:

  • Slow down the progress of other owners

  • Contain the actions of the workers’ union

  • And most importantly, be the first to connect 6 territories to achieve a monopoly

The Workers

If you don’t control enough connected territories, you become a worker. Workers form a union and play collectively against the owners.

Their goal is to:

  • Sabotage the mine

  • Hinder the expansion of the owners

  • Prevent anyone from achieving a monopoly

The game then becomes a tense confrontation between individual interests and collective action.

À La Mine is neither a solo game nor a duel. It is designed to fully leverage the group dynamics found in board games: temporary alliances, collective opposition, tension, and betrayal.

Gather 3 to 6 players, enter the mine, and see who will come out on top!
