About This Game

A "horror" labyrinth speed runner. You play as a game developer hobbyist making a retro horror labyrinth game called "The End". You designed an AI protagonist named "The Announcer". The Announcer was meant to be a boss that generates unique boss fights for each floor for the dungeons. You decided to delete the code for The Announcer and began to work on a less complex system for the boss battles. You later notice something weird going on with your code, it began to rewrite itself. In a panic, you try to exit the program but to no avail. Thinking of no other way to stop this chaos, you tried to turn off the computer. As you reached for the power button, your monitor began to glow with a bright orange vortex pulling you into the game...

The game is simple... get to the end without dying. You need to avoid traps, monsters, and complete level specific puzzles/challenges. How do you avoid/stop monsters? You need to find Crystalites that are placed in the levels. These will provide you with a random ability such as, Wireframe, Speed Boost, Health, Stun Wave etc. You can choose to use these abilities at any time. If you do not like the ability, you are currently holding, you can just pick up another crystalite to replace it. Be warned, there's a creature that could randomly spawn in replacement of your ability, the Mimic. Some monsters aren't affected by the flashlight at all. Some monsters will become stunned from the default FLASH while others will need Overcharge, a flashlight ability or Stun Wave. Hint: You need to flash monsters not just shine the light on them.

Let's talk about content. What content does the game have currently? 5 Main and Challenge (10 Total) levels, 2 Trials levels, and 3 game modes (4th mode coming soon), 9 modifiers, and 9 Abilities. Don't worry, there are going to be more content in future updates. (7 More Maps/Levels Are Planned For Future Content)

There are 30+ Flashlight Skins to collect! Can you collect them all?!

Monsters:

  • Lurker

  • Stalker

  • Mimic

  • Cytaur

  • Lost Soul

  • Zombi

  • Blood Hunter

  • Seeker

  • More monsters will be introduced later in the game's development

Some Levels:

The Pit: Fight club turned into a sick game of Trials. The crowd gets a kick out of monsters ripping contestants to pieces.

The Maze: The Lurker roams here, don't let him catch up to you. Activate all plates to revile the key.

Deception: You have 60 seconds to get an Angelic Totem to refresh the Hot Timer, fail to do so, damages you every 5 seconds until you die. Located all 3 Orbs, place them on their podium, and get the key.

Ghosts Maze: This familiar map takes an interesting turn. Collect all the Nanites before the time runs out. Watch out for those Ghosts Girls.

Shift: This map Shifts the play field a little. The level is split into multiple micro mazes with objectives to complete in order to enter the Ether realm. Upon entering the Ether, you need to run from the Shadow, step on the correct plate, and grab the orb at the end of the Ether maze. The orb needs to be put on the correct podium, do this 4 times and just down the fiery hole revealed by the Dark Angle statue in the center of the main cemetery.

And more...

There are 10 abilities as of now. Theses abilities are:

  • Health - Replenishes 1 health.

  • Stun Wave - Stuns most enemies in the whole maze.

  • Speed Boost - Speeds up the player's movement and sprint speed. Additionally stop the player's stamina from depleting.

  • Overcharged - Flashlight is more powerful! You are able to stun most enemies in the maze and recharges your battery. You will consume your battery.

  • Teleport - Place a receiver node down at any location then when you are ready, click the ability again to teleport to the receiver's position.

What are modifiers?

Modifiers are specific to the Challenge game mode. They are designed to give the player a hard time to complete the maze. Some are really though to work with while others are just a nuisance to your run. Here are the modifiers that are in game so far:

  • What Timer - Timer will not show up on the HUD.

  • No Sprint - Sprint is disabled.

  • Hardcore - Start with low health.

  • No Flashlight - Flashlight is disabled.

  • Inverted - Your movement controls are inverted.

  • Shackled - Player is stunned every 60 seconds for 3 seconds.

  • Fatigue - Once player stamina is depleted, you are stunned for 3 seconds, and you aren't able to sprint until your stamina fully regens.

  • Exerted - Using abilities causes you to get stunned for 2 seconds.

  • Haze - Your vision is blurred.

Note: Don't forget to look around the maps, there's also 5 easter eggs to find!
