Spires of Morosith is a tactical tower defense game with a blend of real-time-strategy elements. Allowing you to control the shape of the battlefield and the path of your enemies, Spires of Morosith seeks to deepen the impact the surroundings can have on the classic Tower Defense.

INVADING GRAINWRAITHS

• The Grainwraiths ripping into Arborglen through Tears. They want to destroy the Spires creating the Gossamer, then won’t stop until all of Arborglen is consumed.

• There is a variety of Grainwraith characters, from the small and many Scouts to the rare and horrifying Abhorration.

• Enemies may spawn as a special type. For example, the Mammoths who draw towers’ ire protecting the smaller Grainwraith beside it. Or the Trojan that on death will create a small Tear, spawning more enemies.

• The boss wave encounters will stress your strategies and take advantage of defensive weaknesses.

SUMMONED DEFENSES

• Conjure from an arsenal of 5 towers, each serves a unique function for defeating the invading Grainwraiths.

• Towers have one or two upgrade paths that build upon what makes each tower unique, sometimes adding additional effects like burning, vulnerability, or reduced move speed.

• Summoning Towers influences the route the Grainwraiths will use to reach the Spires.

SUPPORT STRUCTURES

• Improve resource generation and harvesting rates with buildings.

• Buildings wont deal damage to the Grainwraiths but are as important as towers in keeping Arborglen and its Spires protected.

• Buildings influence the Grainwraith routes, and have larger footprints (2x2) than towers (1x1).

SPIRES OF MOROSITH AND OBELISKS

• Active Spires form the Gossamer that keeps the Grainwraiths from invading Arborglen. They’ve been disabled, and now the Grainwraiths seek to destroy them.

• Protecting the Spires is priority one. When a Grainwraith reaches a Spire it will cause significant damage.

• Success takes more than survival. Arborglen’s Spires need to be reactivated to heal the Gossamer and keep Grainwraiths from invading through Tears.

• Once enough Grainwraith Cores have been collected by Obelisks, they may power a nearby Spire. Defeat the Grainwraith within the Obelisk’s area to collect its Core!

GATHERERS SIMON AND ALLEN

• The Gatherers can be commanded to collect resources from the map. Gather wisely, resources are removed from the map once collected!

• Removing resources creates more space for towers but may also open new routes for Grainwraiths to access the Spires!

• Gatherers may also discover Ancient Knowledge in the forests of Arborglen, adding new Towers and Buildings to your arsenal!

ARBORGLEN

• Each of the three regions within Arborglen present opportunity to expand your defensive strategies.

• How will defenses fit in the dense forests? Or control portal connections and limited pathing options of the floating islands? Is there enough time to cut through the deadroot to access the Heartwood Trees?

• Be cautious when building near the wildlife in the regions, they may try to protect their space!

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

When faced with a challenging puzzle, reflecting on the outcomes will help overcome obstacles in your way. Spires of Morosith offers a few features that help those that look for clarity.

• Each successful wave generates a report, letting you know how many of the Cores you claimed and any Spire damage that wave.

• The resources generated per minute, and the wave difficulty stats may be found by hovering over the Wood Bank and Wave displays.

• While paused, you’re given access to construct blueprints that will temporarily update the Grainwraith path. Helpful for planning intricate maze designs.

• When feeling prepared, take on the Endless Mode to see how long the Spire stands against an relentless Grainwraith spawn.
