In essence, Stranger Heroes is a survivor-like, but it has an active exploration component, you need to explore the facility, unlock doors, rescue characters. Your passive powers (like hackers hoodie) not only help you in combat, but also necessary to unlock more sections.

Meta progression goes hand in hand with combat and exploration, where we have a unique research, where you need to defeat certain enemies to unlock genetic enhancements for your heroes.

Game is fully playable, it even has an "prologue ending" scene if you can reach it.

A catastrophic breach has plunged the top-secret CCA (Central Control Agency) facility into a paranormal nightmare. As a former CCA associate awakened with forgotten powers, you are the last hope.
