In essence, Stranger Heroes is a survivor-like, but it has an active exploration component, you need to explore the facility, unlock doors, rescue characters. Your passive powers (like hackers hoodie) not only help you in combat, but also necessary to unlock more sections.

Meta progression goes hand in hand with combat and exploration, where we have a unique research, where you need to defeat certain enemies to unlock genetic enhancements for your heroes.

Game is fully playable, it even has an "prologue ending" scene if you can reach it.

A catastrophic breach has plunged the top-secret CCA (Central Control Agency) facility into a paranormal nightmare. As a former CCA associate awakened with forgotten powers, you are the last hope. Survive the horde in this action rogue-lite where your abilities fire automatically and strategic movement is your key to survival.

Navigate the corrupted labs and containment zones of the CCA. Stand your ground to unleash a concentrated barrage of fire, or run to evade the endless threats. Collect paranormal relics and experimental tech to craft unique and powerful builds on each run, pushing deeper into the heart of the disaster.

With every attempt, you'll gradually unravel two mysteries: the truth behind the facility's collapse and the forgotten past of the mythic hero you've become.

Craft unique builds combining raw psychic phenomena, paranormal CCA artifacts, and experimental tech. Combine your skills with relics to explore deeper into the CCA compound. Hack the Kerberos security system to access locked blast doors. Find your way through wind tunnels. Evade or aggravate psionic breaches.
