Welcome to the Pyre Sector

Betrayed. Ambushed. Erased. After your trade convoy is decimated, you reach port only to find all your records expunged. As the Captain of the sole surviving ship, you must navigate the Pyre Sector, a frontier of rival superpowers, rogue warlords, and deadly secrets, to track down those who left you for dead.

• Dynamic Campaign: Explore multiple varied star systems that change on each playthrough. Locations have salvage, unique mission opportunities, or, if you’re unlucky, ambushes!

• Meaningful Factions: Complete missions and build relations with factions. Unlock unique weapons, gain access to allied facilities, and bring allies into critical engagements. Be wary, hostile factions may actively post mercenary bounties on you.

• Standing Fleets: Allied and hostile fleets are visible on the starmap, allowing you to carefully choose your next move. Certain missions can even have multiple factions fighting over critical assets. 

• Unique Enemies: Start the fight with or against scrappy pirates, resourceful independents, and versatile mercenaries, each with their own assortment of equipment, ships, and fleet doctrine. Move on to dealing with the Coalition, the Phoenix Empire, and an elusive, technologically superior threat.

Master the Art of Ship-to-Ship Warfare

In the Pyre Sector, victory isn't about who opens fire first; it's about who controls the battlefield. Last Captain demands tactical foresight in every engagement.

• Balance Offense: Choose when to defend against missiles with point defense, or switch to the attack with your own long-ranged weaponry.

• Control the Battlefield: Deploy point-defense satellites to create safe zones, and use EMP bursts to disable tracking on inbound missiles.

• Lethal Environments: You can mask your signature in ion storms, dodge meteor showers, and even attempt to ram enemy ships into the unstoppable clutches of a black hole.

• Scale of Conflict: Evolve your tactics from tense 1v1 duels to massive fleet engagements with ships of different roles and sizes.

Squadron Co-op Missions 

Take on the most dangerous threats alone or with up to three other Captains. Supercharge your squadron’s strengths and cover each other’s weaknesses against increasingly difficult odds.

• Loadout Synergy: Coordinate your loadouts. Have one player draw fire with a high-armor, close combat build while another provides long-range railgun and missile support.

• High-Stakes Objectives: From high-speed convoy escorts and daring pirate nest raids to multi-stage star fortress assaults, every mission demands a new strategy.

• In-Depth Progression: Hard-earned rewards allow you to modify every aspect of your ship. Tweak your weapon ballistics, install unstable fuel injectors for burst mobility, or reinforce your hull for ramming maneuvers.

• Ship Evolution: Optimize your ship or swap out the chassis entirely across different ship classes. Start as a nimble frigate and upgrade to durable cruisers or even the venerable battleship class.

Player vs Player Combat

Test your battle-hardened skills against other players and their unique armaments.

• Deathmatch: The classic duel that rewards steady aim, sharp instincts, and countering your enemies’ attacks while unleashing your own. With no ship upgrades available, this is the purest combat experience.

• Station Assault: A team-based mode that requires coordination and tactics to blast through hostile defenses and take out their station before they destroy yours. Teamfights change the paradigm and incentivize harder-to-counter, varied loadouts.

• Fleet Battle: Capture critical locations on the battlefield with the help of allied NPC ships and full ship customization. Control the chaos as fleet lines collide in this battle of increasingly epic proportions.
