Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

This visual novel contains explicit and disturbing content intended as satire and psychological horror. The game explores themes of obsession, isolation, and online disconnection through exaggerated and graphic depictions of:

-Non-consensual sexual acts
-Incest and sexual violence
-Graphic descriptions of suicide and self-harm
-Psychosexual violence and emotional manipulation
-Depictions of rape, BDSM, and abuse
-Strong language, racial remarks, and hate speech (used in-character for critique and narrative tension)
-Gore and murder

The content is intentionally provocative and disturbing, and is not intended for erotic gratification, but rather as a critical deconstruction of unhealthy relationships and digital parasocial fantasies.

Viewer discretion is strongly advised.

About This Game

Joseph is a computer science major spiraling through a deeply personal and psychologically unfiltered experience. After his politically unhinged online girlfriend, Jessica, unexpectedly goes AFK in the middle of a degrading text-based ERP, he’s left alone—with nothing but his thoughts, paranoia, and the silence that exacerbates it all.

Taking his therapist’s advice to “journal,” Joseph begins recording his inner monologue while supposedly under the influence of fictionalized "drugs." What follows is a descent into distorted perception, where fantasy and reality merge. His relationship anxieties, traumas with women, repressed thoughts, and imagined waifus begin to manifest in surreal, decaying ways.

AFK GF is a visual novel with a dark satirical tone, blending social commentary, psychological horror, and meta storytelling. Embrace the absurd, the uncomfortable, and the deeply personal as you step into the fragmented mind of a broken man trying to make sense of his deteriorating life.
