Why Early Access?

“We're launching TechRunners in Early Access because the core combat and multiplayer systems are already fun and playable. They still need real players to fully balance and refine them at scale. Many of the important systems mentioned in the about me only truly come alive when thousands of players are in the game at once. This lets us build and polish these systems together with the community instead of guessing in isolation. We want player feedback to directly shape balance, new content priorities, and the overall feel of the game before we hit full 1.0 release. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“TechRunners will in be in Early Access for 1-2 years. The exact timing will depend on feedback, stability, and how quickly we can deliver the planned post-launch content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access and into the full 1.0 release we plan to expand and deepen the game with:
- Additional weapons, implants, consumables, and progression systems
- Expanded crew and basing content
- Expanding the city of New Haven in size and activates
- Refined economy with a server wide market
- Fully fleshed-out PvE system with overworld and instances
- Additional competitive and social features”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At Early Access launch, players can expect a complete and playable core loop:

- Arsenal of 100+ items
- 300+ cosmetic items
- Basing mode for crews
- Social areas on the map
- Global leaderboards
- Free-to-play progression
- Star Arena duels ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, TechRunners will always be free-to-play.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is a core part of how we’re developing TechRunners. We plan to involve players through:

- Regular updates and patch notes on Steam and our official Discord
- Active discussion and feedback channels in Discord (including dedicated bug reports, suggestions, and balance feedback)
- Steam discussions and community hubs
- In-game feedback tools where appropriate
- Periodic polls, surveys, and direct communication about major changes
- Transparent communication about what’s coming and what we’re prioritizing based on player input”
