I guess the world is falling apart...  ⌒⌒⌒✎₊˚ 🐾⧗ ✿.

⊹₊˚⌒₊✶:: [DATA NOT FOUND] ::✶₊⌒˚₊⊹

This game is a story-driven psychological horror that unfolds entirely on YOUR desktop.

Play retro-inspired games that break their own windows, build fragile friendships in a cozy digital city, and uncover the deeper glitches hiding in its code — and in yourself.

SPRKLS.exe is what happens when cozy meets corrupted. When nostalgia becomes haunted. When your desktop becomes something more than just a screen. Where every game is a memory, and every glitch is a message. Where the OS remembers more about you than you'd like it to. It's where you live, and what you are trying to save.

A 32-bit OS drawn by hand. Built by Necrosoft. Designed to remember you.

Not just a game — an explorable operating system with secrets in every window. You’ll drag, click, type, scroll. Navigate a haunted desktop. Play games, read files, talk to ghosts — all inside the OS you created. A living operating system that plays along… until it stops.

Not a place you visit — the place you’ve been to already. Your wallpaper is their sky, your programs are their playgrounds. SPRKLS.exe lives inside your system, blurring the line between game and reality. The bounds were broken. Freely jump between the windows, but there's no guarantee that they're all safe.

Say the right thing and they’ll smile. Say the wrong thing and they might disappear.

Bring them little gifts — a music sample for Skeletrock, a wallpaper pack for Arcadiy, a smiley face dragged into Sparkles’ folder. Play their favorite games, sit with them while it rains in the corner of their window. They’ll tell you jokes, send you weird files, and ask if you’ve eaten today. Some of them only come online at night. Some pretend everything’s fine. Friendship here is real — even if none of it should exist.

Old-school mechanics with no respect for window boundaries.

Each game starts in a window. None of them stay there. Games break their frames and spill into each other, merging mechanics and logic. A Breakout ball escapes and starts affecting enemies from tower defence. A fishing sim glitches into a chat app, unlocking dialogue that shouldn’t exist. Your desktop becomes a web of unstable, interconnected games — and you're stuck in the middle.

Jazz, retrowave, breakcore, post-rock — layered like emotional code, never the same twice.

A fully original soundtrack that changes with the mood of the OS. Lo-fi lullabies for broken apps and lonely ghosts. As Skeletrock likes to put it, "Jazz by design, distortion by emotion." You’ll find peace in track 3. Pain in track 8. And something familiar in a hidden one.
