About This Game

Failed Falling is a challenging platformer where falling is not a threat, but the goal. Starting from the top of a quiet, but still active volcano, sail the rising air currents with your reusable parachute to safely descend the peak, while being careful to not lose progress by staying in them for too long: the parachute might protect from falls, but not from failure...

-Using the air currents requires planning: once open, the parachute won't close until you reach the ground; there's no turning back!

-Most updrafts are a double-edged sword: you need them to proceed, but they can easily trap you and make you lose progress.

-Governing your momentum is key: the fate of your jumps relies on how you enter an updraft and the way you maintain the resulting speed.

-Open the parachute at the right time: timing when to activate it can make all the difference, but wait too long and it will automatically open.

-Practice is the way to victory: at any moment, you can activate practice mode to test your jumps before committing to them.

-Analyze your immediate surroundings: the practice hologram has a limited range, but good enough to give you an idea of what's to come.

-The threat of losing progress remains: once you stop practicing, you'll still need to successfully do it again without succumbing to pressure.

-Failures are always remembered: no matter if it's progress or regression, your current position is auto-saved; make all that practice count!

-An immersive setting: the volcano isn't all the same, but has many different environments, each with a distinctive look and ambience.

-Explore and uncover secrets: alternative paths and secrets, hidden all along the descent, can be discovered with a keen eye.

-Lore for the perceptive: learn about the volcano's history by talking with its inhabitants or by simply observing your surroundings.

-Strive for speed: the game offers many ways to go faster in your journey, but only for those who have mastered the game mechanics.

The volcano will always propel you upwards, not because of malice, but just by its nature. Will you persevere? Don't give up! The only way is down...
