Why Early Access?

“Fly Cowboy Online is an ambitious multiplayer game that combines fast-paced aerial combat, exploration of a vast world, character progression, and deep gameplay mechanics.

We chose Early Access because we believe that the player community should play a key role in shaping a project of this scale.

Early Access allows us to expand the game world alongside our players, refine the balance of ships, equipment, and skills, improve both PvP and PvE gameplay, and introduce new features based on real player experiences and feedback.

Our goal is not simply to release a game, but to build a living, constantly evolving MMO universe where players’ choices and actions truly matter.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Fly Cowboy Online to remain in Early Access for approximately 12–18 months.

During this period, we will focus on expanding the game world, developing PvP and PvE content, refining gameplay mechanics, optimizing performance, and improving the overall player experience.

The Early Access timeline may change depending on testing results, community feedback, and the readiness of key game systems. Our priority is to deliver the full release when the game reaches the level of quality and stability we believe it deserves.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, Fly Cowboy Online will offer the foundation of our multiplayer universe, including an open game world, fast-paced aerial combat, character progression, ship and equipment upgrades, PvP and PvE activities, and multiplayer interactions.

The full version is intended to deliver a significantly larger and more diverse experience. We plan to expand the game world with new areas, missions, enemies, equipment, and activities, while further developing progression systems and deepening player interactions.

Special attention will be given to large-scale PvP battles, team-based gameplay, game balance, performance optimization, and server stability.

We also intend to improve the user interface, controls, and onboarding experience for new players.

Our vision for the full release is a vast, content-rich MMO world offering diverse opportunities for exploration, progression, and combat. Specific features and content may evolve throughout Early Access based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fly Cowboy Online already features the core gameplay systems that allow players to enter its multiplayer world and begin developing their characters.

The current version includes explorable locations with free-flight mechanics, PvE enemies, character progression, character stats, skills, and a selection of equipment. Players can develop their characters, enhance their combat capabilities, explore the world, and interact with other players.

The game also features a community creation system, allowing players to form groups and develop cooperative gameplay.

The current version provides a playable foundation for the future MMO experience, which will gradually expand with additional content and features. Some gameplay systems and elements are still under development and will continue to be refined throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. Fly Cowboy Online follows a Free-to-Play model and will remain free for all players, both during Early Access and after the full release.

Our goal is to make the game accessible to the widest possible audience. Ongoing development, new content, and server infrastructure will be supported through optional in-game purchases.

Purchasing the game or paying a mandatory subscription will not be required to access the core gameplay experience.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our player community is one of the most important parts of Fly Cowboy Online’s development. Throughout Early Access, we aim to maintain open and ongoing communication between our development team and players.

Our primary communication platforms will be the Steam Community Hub and our official Discord server. Through Steam, we will share development news, detailed patch notes, update announcements, and information about our future plans. Steam Discussions will give players an opportunity to share their experiences, suggest improvements, and report issues.

Discord will serve as a more direct communication channel with our development team, where players can discuss gameplay mechanics, submit suggestions, report bugs, and participate in community events.

We plan to pay particular attention to feedback regarding ship and equipment balance, PvP and PvE mechanics, character progression, performance, and overall gameplay experience.

We will also use our official social media channels to share development updates, showcase upcoming features, and encourage broader community participation.

Our goal is to build an active community where players can do more than simply follow the development of Fly Cowboy Online — they can help shape its future through their feedback, ideas, and gameplay experiences.”
