“The full release will expand dinosaur species, progression depth, world events, AI ecosystems and large-scale multiplayer systems, alongside additional polish and optimisation”

“The Early Access version is fully playable and multiplayer-enabled, with core survival, growth, combat, and progression systems active. Some features, content, and polish are still in development”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Pricing may change over time as development progresses and new content is added. Final pricing has not yet been determined.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is central to development. Players are actively involved through structured playtests, Discord discussions, in-game testing builds, and regular Steam updates. Feedback is used to guide balance changes, progression tuning, AI behaviour, and feature priorities. Major systems are refined alongside the community, with updates shaped by real gameplay data and player experience rather than fixed assumptions.”

About This Game

They never went extinct. Now, survival is only the beginning.

In Evolution of the Ancients, you are the dinosaur. Survive as a vulnerable hatchling, grow stronger and lead a herd of your own in a persistent prehistoric world.

But survival is only your first step. Craft bone armour, recruit dinosaur companions and establish nesting grounds as dinosaurs begin building a future of their own.

TURN BONES INTO ARMOUR

Gather bones, teeth, osteoderms and other materials from fallen dinosaurs to craft armour and equipment. Equip your dinosaur and prepare your herd for the next hunt...... Or the next fight.

TAKE COMMAND

Recruit NPC dinosaurs and give them orders to follow, hunt and fight alongside you. Choose when to attack and when to pull your companions out of danger.

GATHER YOUR HERD

Band together with other players and NPC companions to take on larger prey and protect one another.

Other herds share the same hunting grounds. Make allies, face rivals and decide when a patch of territory is worth fighting for.

BUILD A HOME WORTH DEFENDING

Gather brushwood, fibre and other natural materials to build your nest. Choose your location carefully: food and water matter, but so does who lives nearby.

Find a compatible NPC mate, raise offspring and continue your lineage. With young to protect, your nesting grounds become more than a place to rest.

SURVIVE LONG ENOUGH TO LEAD

Life begins small and vulnerable. Find food, watch for predators and choose your fights carefully. Fog and darkness can conceal your escape..... Or an approaching threat.

Growing bigger makes you stronger, but never invincible. Death ends your dinosaur’s growth, putting the time you’ve spent surviving at stake.

HELP SHAPE THE EVOLUTION

Evolution of the Ancients is still in development. We’re continuing to expand crafting, progression and herd life as we work towards our vision of dinosaurs taking their first steps towards civilisation.
