What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The Flesh Farm game mechanics are still in development. While the core gameplay—basic enemy and player functionality—is already in place and feels solid, our goal is to deliver a much fuller experience that includes all the ideas and systems we originally envisioned. These additional mechanics require time, thorough debugging, and sufficient resources to implement properly.

Early Access allows us to involve players directly in this process. Your feedback will help us refine gameplay, identify issues, and prioritize features. We are committed to continuing to work on our product, receive feedback, and see our project through to completion, because that's exactly what we’re doing with Flesh Farm. Early Access is a critical step in ensuring we can shape the game into its best possible version with the help of our community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Early Access will be 6- 12 months for a fully functional base game. If successful we would love to implement more crafting abilities with weapons and armor as well as power ups. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“While passion projects are always evolving, our goal is to deliver a polished version of Flesh Farm with engaging gameplay and minimal bugs. Early Access offers players the opportunity to explore the world, uncover the lore, and experience the foundational mechanics of the game.

At this stage, some elements—such as crafting—are present in a limited form. The crafting system, along with features like armor functionality and additional enemy types, is something we’re continuing to develop. We’re also exploring the inclusion of elemental ammo types, expanded visual effects, and further enemy variety to deepen the gameplay experience.

Looking ahead, we hope to expand the storytelling with cutscenes and animated sequences, adding more narrative weight and immersion. These additions are part of our broader vision for the full version, and community feedback will help guide how these elements evolve.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Current state of the game is the base enemy Ai mechanic and weapon system. There is a foundation of a storyline with text and some mixed in anecdotes spread across the map for players to find.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We will gradually be increasing the price as content and updates are added to the game. As this is mainly a passion project and the sole purpose is to complete a bucket list item before the developer gets too old. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community plays a crucial role in shaping the direction of Flesh Farm during Early Access. Player feedback will directly influence gameplay balance, feature prioritization, and the refinement of new mechanics. We want to hear what works, what doesn’t, and what you’d love to see added or improved.

To stay connected, we’ll actively use platforms like the Steam Community board, Instagram, and other social media channels to share updates, gather input, and respond to questions or suggestions. We plan to post regular development progress, highlight community feedback that’s been implemented, and even run polls or discussions to help guide certain design choices.

By staying open and engaged, we aim to build Flesh Farm not just for the community—but with it.”
