About This Demo

Welcome to a retro-styled, arcade-inspired 2.5D helicopter game! This isn’t a complex flight simulator—instead, it features accessible physics and intuitive controls built for pure, unfiltered fun. The retro vibe goes beyond the minimalist visuals; it’s all about straightforward, deeply enjoyable gameplay.

But there’s more to this game than just classic, pick-up-and-play arcade action. Enter the Supercomputer layer: a base-building element left non-functional after a devastating explosion in the mining colony. Deploy your rescued cyber-miners to recover the Supercomputer piece by piece (or rather, hex by hex) and farm essential resources like CPU, RAM, and HDD to unlock bonuses. Best of all, the Supercomputer directly interacts with your rescue missions—delivering a classic retro experience with a modern twist!

AI-FREE content, but read more about it at the end.

PICKING UP PEOPLE IS JUST THE BEGINNING

Once you’ve picked up your passengers, the real challenge begins. You’ll need to navigate carefully and deliver them safely to the heliport. Only after successfully landing will your score increase, allowing you to make progress toward your goal.

BEWARE OF OBSTACLES

Test your skills by navigating through increasingly tricky obstacles. With limited fuel, you’ll need to think fast and act even faster to avoid crashing and reach your destination in time!

FLIGHT SAFELY

Air acrobatics might seem fun, but don’t forget your passengers are not strapped in! Too much wild maneuvering could send them flying out of the helicopter. Also, remember that landing softly is just as important as flying—crashing to the ground might not only endanger the passengers but could lead to serious injuries or even death.

SUPERCOMPUTER

Everything ties into your core mission: rescuing cyber-miners through simplified yet precise 2.5D flight simulation, battling realistic gravity, and racing against both time and dwindling fuel. But the challenge isn’t just about "save more and more people" - Supercomputer plays the second layer of the game. Your main goal is to rebuilding a malfunctioned Supercomputer. This links every rescue mission with the core mechanic of gathering resources and rebuilding the Supercomputer. I’ve incorporated city-builder elements to add a strategic layer to the game.

Specific Supercomputer fragments (numbered hexes) are the key to your survival. Capturing them can unlock impassable blocks or slow down that nasty, malfunctioning machinery. But to reclaim control, you need computing power. That’s where your rescued cyber-miners come in! Since they’re robots, you harness their CPU power to manage the Supercomputer's fragments.

RESOURCES (SUPERCOMPUTER): CPU, RAM and HDD

Every hex you control within the Supercomputer generates vital resources. You will need to accumulate a specific amount of CPU, RAM, and HDD to unlock access to subsequent rescue missions and expand your reach.

GENRE - true Indie!

So this is +reto +flight sim +die-and-retry +arcade +physics +difficulty +city-builder +Indie game. Go for it!

SIMPLE RULES, CHALLENGING FUN

  • Navigate the helicopter with precision.

  • Search for and collect people who are waiting for transport.

  • Safely bring them to the heliport.

  • Avoid reckless flying—passengers aren’t strapped in and could fall out.

  • Steer clear of hard landings—rough touchdowns can cause concussions and injuries to your passengers.

  • Be quick and efficient—your fuel is limited!

  • Puzzles included - use designated spots to unlock access to closed areas.

FLIGHT DECK  IS YOUR TRUSTY COMPANION

The flight deck consists of five gauges, all of which play a crucial role in the game. While you’ll need to split your focus between navigation and monitoring the gauges, that’s just part of the gameplay!

1st Gauge: Altimeter

This shows how high you can go without losing drift. For nerds only:

  • The upper number displays the helicopter’s airspeed.

  • The lower number shows the vertical airspeed.

  • Circles indicate the upgrade level of the engine power (visit Garage to do so!).

2rd Gauge: Level Indicator

This gauge helps you navigate in a TOP view mode, no need to use in SIDE view mode. For nerds:

  • The upper number is a See Level Altimeter

  • The lower nuber is Above Ground Level (AGL) altimeter

3th Gauge: Total mass

Your mass increases as you pick up more passengers or take on more fuel. So keep that in mind since you mass affects your movement in the air. The lighter you are, the faster you go! If you are too heavy, simply leave passengers on the ground - you will return to them after a while. Also, consider not taking every passenger at once, maybe two rounds are a better idea?

4th Gauge: Fuel Level Indicator

Your remaining fuel is displayed on-screen, and the helicopter itself turns red when fuel is low - along with the corresponding HUD label. For nerds only:

  • The number at the top shows the current fuel consumption.

  • The number at the bottom shows the helicopter's weight.

RADAR - yet another Gauge at top, right screen

  • White dots – Heliports

  • Velvet dots – Cyber-miners waiting to be rescued

  • Blue dots – Fuel barrels

  • The number inside shows how many people are nearby waiting for rescue.

Since this is a 2.5D game, the radar works as follows:

  • Your helicopter is always at the center.

  • Dots above you represent objects at a higher altitude.

  • Dots to the right indicate objects positioned to your right, and so on.

PORTALS IN THE GAME = "Retro with a Modern Twist"

You'll encounter special buttons that move parts of the environment—essentially opening restricted areas, much like doors in real life.

You can drop people off and pick them up again later. If you do this on a designated spot, doors to an otherwise inaccessible location will open. This mechanic allows you to gather more people - all while managing the pressure of burning fuel. You'll have to act fast and think strategically - a mix of arcade gameplay and puzzles that you’re bound to enjoy! This is what we mean by "retro with a modern twist".

NO SHOOTING, BUT PLENTY OF ADRENALINE

While this game doesn’t feature any shooting or combat, the tension is real. The abstract environment, crazy perspectives, shifting obstacles, and ever-present shadows create a thrilling atmosphere that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Need more adrenaline? Check up SPEED RUN gameplay!

SPEED RUN GAMEPLAY - INCLUDED!

You can switch to SPEED RUN mode and challenge yourself to beat the best level time. Thanks to this, you can turn the game into a race, competing with friends and challenging each other at any level! In this mode rescue mission time is not ticking (the main plot stops) so you can repeat your flight many, many times!

DEMO VS FULL GAME

The demo includes 9 reach levels (~2-3h of the gamplay) designed to introduce players to the game's world and the Supercomputer. At the start, you'll learn how to fly the helicopter, avoid reckless stunts, land smoothly, and handle the aircraft when carrying multiple passengers. The Full Game features:

  • 27 unique maps (~12 hours of total gameplay).

  • 3 distinct helicopters—each featuring completely unique physics and handling, not just cosmetic changes!

  • The Bomber helicopter, allowing you to demolish the environment and blast your way through obstacles.

AI-FREE

As a solo developer, I wanted to create as much of this game as possible without relying on AI. However, please note that the localization and Steam page descriptions were translated with the help of AI tools—originally written in Polish, then translated into English and Chinese, and finally polished for better readability.

SOLO PROJECT (WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM FRIENDS)

It’s true—the core game is entirely my own work, from the initial concept and physics programming to the graphic assets and level design. However, I didn’t do everything alone! The soundtrack was created by my talented colleagues. Additionally, a good friend offered a hand with the helicopters and ended up creating the 3D models for them. You can read all about their amazing contributions in the in-game Credits section!
