About This Game

In the near future, the use of artificial intelligence has been integrated into virtually every aspect of our lives - including the food we eat. The agricultural megacorporation Emmer Technologies is using cutting-edge AI mechanisms to regulate the growth patterns of crops worldwide. Teagan Wixx, a professor of botany at a local university, considers her contract with Emmer as her dream job. Until she is suddenly let go on the same day that her friend goes missing. Follow Teagan's journey as she employs perseverance and botanical knowledge to unravel an increasingly complex mystery. SmartPLANT ultimately explores the question: what does it mean to be intelligent? Is this a domain exclusive to animals and, perhaps, machines? Can plants think for themselves, and, if so, how should we respond? SmartPLANT is a single-player first-person story-driven exploration game.
