Relax in a calming forest for a moment. Look upon giant trees, pretty little flowers and a lush forest, while listening to birds singing and rain falling. A possible escape from the hectic world we live in today.

About This Game

The aim of the creation of this game was to simulate a calming nature enviroment where one can look at trees and listen to the sounds of nature, without the need to be aware of one's surroundings, like you would have to be in an action game. There is an overwhelming amount of noise and hecticness in our world, so I wanted to make a game where one can enjoy a little peace and calmness, once in a while.

This game is made for those who cannot go to a forest in real life, whether that is because you live in a city or perhaps your country has a long winter, like mine has and there is no green color to be found outside for months. Green colors and calming sounds can make for a therapeutic experience, especially to combat winter depression. This could also be a good game to use when you want to introduce an older person to the world of videogames.

Features

  • A configurable weather system with easy control options.

While the game was designed with clear skies, fog or light rain in mind, there are other options as well, like an intense thunder storm. See the trailer for more details. You can also configure the volume of the birds, weather and music.

  • Beautiful graphics

The game was designed to be played with the high or epic graphics settings, and looks quite bad on the lower settings. Fps doesn’t matter much though (at least for me), as nothing really happens in the game.

  • 4 Maps

There are 3 small maps and one large map. The main map is a 4km x 4km island with different kinds of forest and terrain. The 3 smaller maps are much denser in trees, but much smaller in size.

A disclaimer though: this game is a standing still/walking simulator that demands quite a lot from your computer.

There is no real goal, aside from walking around the map. Absolutely nothing will happen (unless you tweak the weather and cause a thunderstorm or jump off the edge or something...).  If you seek action games, look elsewhere. The sole purpose of this game is to be pleasant to look at and have a calm feeling to it. It is intended as a meditative and perhaps even therapeutic experience. The main map does contain some secrets to find, but the gameplay is not meant to be very exiting.
