Why Early Access?

“We believe real player feedback is crucial for shaping Bearzerk into the chaotic, wave-based experience that truly resonates. Early Access lets us gather suggestions, balance characters, and refine every feature before the full release. The game is a blast to play and there's too much content ready to just sit on. But there's also so much room for imagination, more weapons, itemns, synergies to come up with. We need your help!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan for about 6–12 months, depending on how much content we introduce and how quickly we can incorporate community feedback. However, as we communicate with players and gather feedback, that may be subject to change. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full game may contain more enemy types, game modes, weapons, items, unlockables and playable characters. The early access build may undergo changes to gameplay balance and performance/stability.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Right now, Bearzerk includes one run (3 bosses, 10 random backgrounds),11 enemy types, 20 unique weapons, 40 armor pieces and consumables and 15 playable characters. Everything is playable and reasonably balanced, offering a solid early glimpse of the full Bearzerk madness. Just beating the last boss at level 20 is going to take the average player a fairly large number of runs to unlock enough permanent power upgrades through the scroll of stitches in order to get her down.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price as more content and features are introduced. Early adopters get in at a lower cost, while those who join later will see a price reflecting the game’s expanded scope.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We’ll actively monitor our Reddit, discord, social media, and Steam forums. Players can suggest features, report bugs, and vote on new ideas, helping us shape and expand Bearzerk based on community-driven feedback.”

It's fast, it's weird, and it's all about finding busted combos that snowball into beautiful, fluffy disaster.
