Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows us to expand and refine the game alongside player feedback while core systems and content are still in development.

While the core gameplay experience is in place, additional content such as new Myths, game modes, and progression systems are still being built. Early Access gives us the opportunity to balance gameplay, improve systems, and prioritize new features based on real player feedback.

Our goal is to use this period to shape the game into a more complete and polished experience by full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently estimate the game will remain in Early Access for approximately 12 to 18 months.

During this time, we plan to expand the roster of playable Myths toward our full release goal, introduce additional game modes (including 3v3, ARAM, and 1v1), and implement new systems such as Mastery and a Battle Pass.

This period will also be used to refine balance, improve UI/UX, and address bugs and performance issues based on player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will include the core gameplay experience, but with limited content and some systems still in development.

At launch, Early Access will feature:
- 20 playable Myths across multiple classes
- One primary game mode (6v6)
- Core gameplay systems and progression

During Early Access, we plan to expand the game by:
- Increasing the roster to 7 Myths per class by full release
- Adding additional game modes, including a 3v3 mode shortly after launch
- Introducing new modes such as ARAM and 1v1 before full release
- Implementing new systems like a Mastery system and Battle Pass
- Improving UI/UX, balance, and overall polish based on player feedback

The full version will represent a more complete experience with significantly more content, refined systems, and expanded gameplay variety compared to the Early Access version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the launch of Early Access, the game will include:

20 playable Myths across multiple classes
One primary 6v6 game mode available at all times
A secondary 3v3 mode available during limited windows (such as weekends)
Core gameplay systems and progression

However, several features and systems are not yet implemented or are still in development. This includes additional game modes (such as ARAM and 1v1), expanded progression systems (such as Mastery and Battle Pass), UI improvements, and overall game balance and polish.

Early Access is intended to expand content, refine systems, and improve the overall experience based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to release the game as a paid Early Access title. At full release, the game is planned to transition to a free-to-play model.

After full release, additional optional content such as battle passes, announcer packs, skins, icons, and other cosmetic items will be available for purchase. These will not impact core gameplay.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively involve the community throughout Early Access by gathering feedback through platforms such as Discord, forums, and in-game surveys.

Player feedback will directly influence balance changes, new features, and content priorities. We will regularly review community input and iterate on gameplay systems, game modes, and overall design based on this feedback.”

About This Game

A 6v6 MOBA MADE TO EVOLVE THE GENRE

7 UNIQUE CLASSES TO ALLOW MORE FREEDOM, CHOICE, & DYNAMIC GAMEPLAY

During Early Access, Ethereal will have 7 classes each with their own ability, take Flight into the sky as a Sky Slayer, Smash through walls & barriers with the Berserkers, Climb Walls as a Reaper, or Teleport Across the Map to support your team as an Archmage and more!

THE MOBA EXPERIENCE REDEFINED

With Allies and Enemies coming from the skies, the walls, and the ground. No other MOBA gives you control to take down enemies any way you can imagine. Ethereal is a 6v6 MOBA that focuses on Strategic gameplay with a unique spin on the conventional 3-lane MOBA map design where you could literally take an enemy and throw them off the map, or climb a wall to reassess a situation and strategize.

During the Early Access release, you'll be able to play several modes where the focus is to defeat the enemies Elder by destroying waves of minions, obliterating ancient structures, and push into the enemies base.

CHOOSE YOUR MYTH

In Ethereal, you'll pick a Myth each match, each complete with their own 4 unique active abilities and a passive such as grabbing enemies and throwing them where you want, flying across the battlefield to save a friend, or firing a laser across the map to execute an enemy. The choice is yours to find your favourite myth and lead your team to victory!

Early Access is currently planned to have 20 Myths at Early Access release, with more releasing consistently throughout.

THE 7 CLASSES

We previously mentioned the 7 classes below you'll be able to learn about each class and their full details:

Archmage Class


Archmages can place teleportation sigils around the map, granting themselves positional advantages and help them to navigate the Ether more efficiently.

Berserker Class


Berserkers can destroy certain parts of the map; revealing paths, creating new ones, or blocking off areas. Utilizing this ability will apply a cooldown.

Cleric Class

A pledge will be made, a pact will be formed. Worship specific Ethereans, gaining a tome of your choosing each match. Each tome will grant the user a unique bonus.

Knight Class

Choose a relic at the start of the match. Complete certain goals to provide yourself with unique effects!

Marksman Class

Blink in the direction your Myth is facing. Can not go through walls. Takedowns on Myths reduce the cooldown by 30 seconds

Reaper Class

Reapers are able to scale over specific parts of the terrain, this ability is limited by the Myth's stamina.

Sky Slayer Class

This ability grants them the gift of flight, allowing them to take to the skies and pass over large areas quickly!

Learning a new MOBA can be daunting, but it doesn't have to be. Our Tutorials & Quality of Life Systems like Auto-Build & Auto-Level ensure that when you Play Ethereal, you can learn the game at your own pace. 

SIMPLIFIED ITEM SYSTEM

Ethereal's Item System is unique in letting you pick your final items early on, complete with it's base stats. Then throughout the match, you'll upgrade your items with additional Gems that let you customize your character's build even further. When all 4 gems have been added to an item, you'll unlock it's passive ability for even greater playmaking potential. No more outdated component item systems like you'll see in other MOBA's,

EXPRESS YOURSELF, YOUR WAY


During Early Access & Beyond, you'll be able to purchase cosmetics to upgrade the look of your myth, emotes for showing off against other players, voice packs for the announcer, and much more. Ethereal will only ever contain paid cosmetics and will never sell power or Pay-To-Win style items.

In addition, Loot Boxes or other Gacha style systems are not something we think benefits the community, so we will not be putting those types of systems in Ethereal.
