About This Content

Fly your remote control planes at Willie McCool Airfield in North Las Vegas, a premier RC flying field for model airplane enthusiasts. Enjoy open skies, a supportive community, and year-round flying.

The park has a model airfield with a 600 foot runway, prep stations and a taxiway for electric- and fuel-powered radio controlled aircraft.

The Willie McCool Regional Park in North Las Vegas is named after U.S. Navy Commander William “Willie” McCool, pilot of Space Shuttle Columbia and graduate of Coronado High School in Las Vegas.

This PhotoField uses a spherical photograph of the location, then adds extensive depth-mapping to allow your aircraft to interact with the ground and other objects.
