What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This game started out as a stand-alone throw-away statement I made to some co-workers:

"I should make a game called Gazebo Simulator."

Several years later, I have brought this throw-away statement to fruition.

The current release includes the first expansive open-world level where players control a flying, weaponized gazebo. Gameplay follows traditional 3D platformer mechanics, challenging you to navigate through obstacles and defeat enemies while making your way to the level's exit.

We chose Early Access because we believe in developing this unique concept with community input. We want to ensure the core gameplay mechanics are refined based on player feedback before expanding the game further. This approach allows us to build a stronger foundation while working toward our goal of creating a complete and polished experience.

This Early Access version provides the foundation of our vision, with content expansions planned throughout development as we work to realize the full potential of this quirky concept.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate Gazebo Simulator will remain in Early Access for roughly 24-36 months. Our development approach focuses on crafting and refining one stage at a time based on player feedback and our internal quality standards.

Save functionality is planned for implementation once additional stages are introduced, allowing players to resume from their last checkpoint.

While development timelines may shift based on community feedback and development challenges, we're committed to regular updates throughout the Early Access period.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

Future Features
Our development plans for Gazebo Simulator include several potential additions we're excited to explore:

Varied Worlds with New Mechanics
We plan to develop additional stages that may introduce different gameplay elements to evolve the experience. For our second stage, we're exploring concepts like altered gravity environments that could change how your gazebo navigates and interacts with surroundings.

Expanded Combat Options
We hope to develop additional weapons and offensive capabilities for your flying gazebo. We're considering various attack types that could offer different approaches to gameplay challenges.

Potential Upgrade System
We're exploring ways to implement gazebo customization options throughout the game. Our goal is to design enhancements that could improve maneuverability, defensive capabilities, and special abilities to support different play-styles.

Environmental Variety
As development continues, we aim to create stages with distinct visual themes and environmental elements that might require players to adapt their strategies, showcasing different aspects of gameplay.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

The Early Access version of Gazebo Simulator currently includes:

First Complete Open-World Level
The game features one fully playable, expansive open-world environment with hand-crafted 3D enemies and detailed world elements.

Core Gameplay Mechanics
Players can experience the primary gameplay loop—controlling a flying, weaponized gazebo through 3D platformer-style challenges, navigating obstacles and defeating enemies.

Input Support
Currently, the game only supports keyboard and mouse controls. Controller support is planned for a future update.

Rendering System
The game currently uses the standard rendering pipeline. We plan to fully rework the game to utilize the more efficient Universal Render Pipeline (URP) in a future update, which will improve performance and visual quality.

Ongoing Development
While fully playable in its current state, we are actively working on expanding content, optimizing performance, and implementing player feedback as development continues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

Price Roadmap
As Gazebo Simulator grows in content and features, the price will adjust to reflect the expanding game experience. The Early Access launch price represents the best value for early supporters.

Incremental Price Structure
For each new level added to the game after release, the price will increase by 10% of the original launch price. This transparent approach ensures early adopters receive the best value while supporting our continued development.

Supporting Future Development
This pricing model allows us to sustainably create high-quality content while rewarding our earliest players with the most competitive price point. Players who purchase during Early Access will receive all future updates at no additional cost, regardless of price increases.

Early Access Advantage
By joining us during Early Access, you not only help shape the game through your feedback but also secure all future content at the lowest possible price point.”
