About This Game

A little catnip. A galaxy's worth of trouble.

One melancholic cat. One bad batch of catnip. Behind its eyes, mouse fleets are massing, rainbow portals are tearing open, and a whole universe is waking up. There's only one way out of this trip: survive it.

Star Purr is a single-player roguelite space shooter about auto-firing weapons, razor-sharp dodging, and an arsenal you rebuild from scratch every run. Pick one of ten ships, grab a starting weapon, and dive into the swarm. The deeper you go, the stranger this neon pixel dream gets.

Find yourself at the bottom of the galaxy

Beyond the rainbow portals wait four layers of the self: Persona, Ego, Shadow, and Self. Inspired by Jungian psychology, your descent starts with the face you show the world — and ends somewhere far beneath it.

The sky falls apart as you go. Stars thin out, nebulae bloom, and the palette burns from red into deep purple. Every chapter drags you closer to the cat's inner world. The mice never leave. Everything around them gets weirder.

Pick three weapons. Let the whole galaxy feel it.

Drag enemies into Black Hole Yarn. Chain lightning through the crowd with Electric Claw. Release the Paw Drones. Or slice straight through space with Reality Tear.

Build your own brand of chaos from 13 weapons, three weapon slots, four component slots, and 40+ stackable items. Go all-in on attack speed, stack crits sky-high, or wall up behind shields. Every level-up and every shop visit is a chance to bend your build in a new direction.

Every weapon transforms at level 10 and level 20 with brand-new attack behaviours — and one Legendary drop can rewrite the whole plan. Watch a humble starting loadout snowball into screen-filling firepower.

Your weapons handle the firing. You find the way through.

Auto-fire frees your hands; your job is to stay alive. Thread the gap between projectiles, orbit the swarm, and pop your ship's active ability at exactly the right moment.

Ten ships, each with its own health, shield, and speed profile — and a signature ability like Shield Wall, Anchor, or Void Jump. Build around the way you love to move. Next run, a different ship and weapon turn a familiar threat into a brand-new puzzle.

Meet the things this mind dreams up

Seven bosses push your build and your reflexes through multi-stage fights. Grind down both halves of Twin Poles as they share a single health bar. Keep your head straight while Echo Chorus splits into false copies and detonates words around you.

Each boss brings its own musical theme. The arsenal that shredded the mouse swarms is about to face a real test.

From D to SSS, with a cat on commentary

Chain kills, dodge everything, and climb the combo ranks from D to SSS. Higher ranks mean more gold, more XP — and a feline announcer who gets more carried away with every tier.

One hit breaks the chain. Stay in the fire for one more reward, or play it safe and keep what you've earned? That next rank is every bit as tempting as the next upgrade.

Let the dream change its rhythm

The soundtrack shifts with your chapter, the heat of combat, and the Threat level — and flips again when a boss arrives. Unicorn Mode cuts through it all with a psychedelic rainbow breather.

Reach the finale and close out your run — or push your build into endless Overtime and find its breaking point. The separate Gold Run mode throws you straight into an endless gauntlet of recurring boss waves, no leaderboard attached.

Clear weapon unlock quests, grow your collection, and come back for that one combination you couldn't stop thinking about.

What will you take into your next dream?
