What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access lets me shape Dignaut together with players. As a solo dev building a sci-fi excavation game where digging tools, efficiency, and terrain interactions matter, real feedback is essential. I want to refine how each tool feels, how materials behave, how upgrades shift your digging style, and how the progression unfolds. Community insights help ensure the excavation systems land exactly as intended — deeper, smarter, and more satisfying”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The plan is 6 to 12 months. That gives room to expand the toolset, add new excavation mechanics, introduce fresh biomes and secrets, and iterate on efficiency-based progression. If community feedback shows more time is needed to get these systems right, I’m open to extending the timeline.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The foundation stays the same, but the full version will feature more biomes, more tools that meaningfully change how you excavate, more material types with unique behaviors, and deeper alien ruin structures. The sci-fi systems will expand as well — scanners, energy tools, and other tech designed with gameplay intention, not just visuals. The goal is refinement and depth, not content for content’s sake.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game already has its complete loop: excavating terrain, uncovering relics, earning credits, upgrading your first tools, and exploring the initial biomes. The early sci-fi equipment works, the digging feels good, and the core is stable. Each update will build on this, expanding your options for how you excavate — not just how far you go.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Early Access will launch at a lower price for early adopters. The price will gradually increase as the game grows toward 1.0 and the excavation systems become more complex.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I’ll use Steam discussions, playtests, and roadmap updates to gather feedback. Input on tool feel, material behavior, pacing, and new sci-fi systems will directly shape Dignaut. Community insights will play a major role in evolving the game’s excavation depth and efficiency-focused progression.”

About This Game

Sent to collect minerals. Driven to excavate deeper truths.

Your mission begins with basic excavation: carve through layers of terrain, watch voxel structures break apart, gather resources, and upgrade your equipment. But every improvement you make changes how you dig — from material efficiency to cutting angles, from battery usage to tool interactions.

As you excavate, it becomes clear that something underground was made by someone. Explore the ruins of a dwarf-like alien civilization. Navigate chambers with impossible architecture. The more you reveal, the less you understand. The silence feels wrong.

Progression isn't about simply going deeper. It's about digging better: burning through harder materials, optimizing routes, managing energy, and unlocking equipment that reshapes your entire excavation strategy.

Traverse multiple atmospheric biomes, each with their own geology, materials, and alien structures. Discover relics from a vanished civilization — technology that becomes your key to digging even deeper.

Key Features:

⛏️ Satisfying voxel excavation with evolving, efficiency-focused sci-fi tools

💎 Collect minerals and upgrade equipment to change how you excavate, not just how far

🏛️ Explore multiple biomes and uncover alien spaces that defy explanation the more you reveal

🌌 Experience meditative excavation broken by silent, impossible ruins

🔄 Progress through a system where each upgrade opens new excavation styles and deeper discoveries

You were sent to dig. Now you decide how deep this goes.
