A tiny vessel. A journey through the brain.

Climb into an experimental miniature vessel and enter a glowing world of neurons. InMind VR is a brief, free arcade experience from the early days of PC virtual reality, with a science-fiction setting inspired by the human brain.

Look, aim, and clear the way

Travel along a guided route and hold your gaze on the highlighted neurons to change them from red to green. Keep looking for the next target as the neural landscape unfolds around you, then replay to improve your rating.

The experience is built around a short ride and a simple targeting challenge. Its microscopic world is a creative interpretation of the brain.

Play with or without VR

• Explore a vivid neural landscape from a miniature point of view.
  
• Aim with your gaze in VR, or use a mouse on a regular screen.
  
• Replay the guided journey and try for a better rating.
  
• VR mode is available in the Windows version. Mac and Linux versions are for regular-screen play.

Useful keys: Space recenters the VR view; Esc exits the game. The guided ride uses continuous movement, which may be uncomfortable for some VR players.

A note about modern VR headsets

InMind was originally developed for early Oculus Rift hardware, in the first wave of PC VR that led to the HTC Vive generation. Some of the older drivers and VR software used by this release are no longer supported. The game still works on many setups, but newer headsets or software may cause launch, display, or control issues. After so many years, we cannot thoroughly test every modern configuration.

InMind is free, so you can try it on your setup without a purchase. A non-VR mode is also available.
