The classic pen-and-paper planes game, now online. Hide 3 planes on a 10x10 grid, then take turns firing at your opponent's sky. Every hit is a clue: find the head of each plane to shoot it down. Fast matches vs the computer, random opponents or a friend with a room code.

About This Game

The classroom classic, now online

Two grids on squared paper, three hidden planes each, and a whispered "B5?" across the desk. Romanian kids know it as Avioane, Chinese players as 炸飞机. Battle Planes Multiplayer brings this folk pen-and-paper game to your PC and keeps the original rules.

How to play

  • Hide your fleet: place your 3 planes anywhere on your 10x10 grid. Click a plane to rotate it. Spread them far apart, or tangle them together to confuse your opponent.
  • Take turns firing: pick a cell on your opponent's grid. Each shot is a miss, a hit on the plane's body, or a hit on the plane's head (its nose), which takes the whole plane down.
  • Deduce, don't guess: every plane covers 10 cells but has a single weak spot. Read the shape from your hits, work out where the head must be, and finish the plane in one shot.
  • Win: shoot down all 3 enemy planes before your opponent finds yours.

It takes a minute to learn and a lot longer to master. Matches last 1–5 minutes. The 10x10 board never changes, but your opponent's placement does, so no two games play out the same way.

Game modes

  • Play vs Computer: practice the rules or play solo against a voiced AI rival (English voice lines).
  • Online matchmaking: get paired with a random opponent.
  • Private match: create a room, share the code and challenge a friend.

Features

  • One-tap start: a big PLAY button gets you into a game from the first screen.
  • Interactive tutorial: learn the rules step by step.
  • Elo leaderboard: climb the all-time and last-30-days rankings.
  • Friends and match history: add friends and track your wins.
  • Rematch: run it back right away after a game.
  • Cross-platform: play with Android and web players in the same online matches.
  • Clean 2D look and a light, casual soundtrack.

Fast-paced, but strategic

Turns are quick, but every shot counts, and it's about more than guessing. Hiding your planes matters as much as hunting theirs: change your placement every game, or tangle your planes together so your opponent can't tell whether a hit belongs to a plane they already shot down or a new one. Risky, but rewarding. Then read their hits, chase your leads and outthink them, game after game.
