Why Early Access?

“Princess of Frozen Flowers is being developed chapter by chapter. Early Access allows us to gather player feedback while the game is still flexible, particularly regarding combat balance, weapon mechanics, enemy and boss encounters, difficulty, pacing, performance, and bugs.

We plan to use that feedback to improve Chapter 1 and guide the development and polish of future chapters.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Princess of Frozen Flowers to remain in Early Access for approximately one year. This estimate may change depending on player feedback, development needs, and the amount of testing and polish required before the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to contain the complete six-chapter story, three major dungeons across three in-game days and nights, expanded overworld areas, additional enemies and bosses, and further development of the game’s weapon classes and combat system.

We also plan to continue improving game balance, performance, presentation, and quality-of-life features throughout Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version contains Chapter 1, “Fall from Heaven,” including the opening story sequence, the first explorable areas, and the first major dungeon, the Blackship.

The core exploration, combat, progression, and story systems are playable. Players can experience Snow’s weapon-based combat mechanics, fight regular enemies and bosses, and complete the currently available chapter. Later chapters and dungeons are not yet included, and players may encounter balance issues, performance problems, or bugs while development continues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Chapter 1 will initially be available for free during Early Access. We plan for the completed game to be a paid release, although the final price has not yet been determined. We have not yet finalized when the game will transition to a paid product or whether additional chapters released during Early Access will remain free. Any pricing changes will be communicated clearly in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to gather feedback through Steam Community discussions, bug reports, and our other community channels. We will pay particular attention to feedback regarding bugs, performance, combat difficulty, weapon balance, enemy and boss design, progression, and story pacing.

Community feedback will be considered when prioritizing updates, balance adjustments, fixes, and improvements for future chapters.”
