Miksi Early Access?

We decided to release BackRooms X in early access because we believe that working with the community is the best way to create a truly great game. Your feedback, bug reports and ideas will help us prioritize development, improve gameplay and improve the atmosphere so that the final version is exactly what fans of the genre want it to be.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We plan the early access phase to last approximately 9 to 12 months. However, this deadline may be adjusted depending on the amount of feedback from the community and our ambitions to further improve the game. Our main goal is to release a full version that we will be proud of, and not meet a strict time frame.

The current version already contains a solid foundation: multiple levels, key survival and exploration mechanics, and a unique atmosphere. In the full version, we plan to significantly expand this experience:

1. Significantly more content: New, elaborate levels, more creature types and mechanics, plus additional story footage and lore.

2. Expansion of gameplay: We want to introduce more complex systems of interaction with the world, perhaps elements of crafting and additional survival mechanics, but this will be a completely different game mode)

3. Polishing and optimization: Constantly working on graphics, sound, fixing bugs and improving performance for all players.

We will carefully study your reviews to understand exactly what content and features are prioritized for you.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The game is in active development, but it already offers a full and intense gaming experience. The current version includes:

- 5 diverse levels that are already fully available for research. We are constantly working on detailing them and improving them with each update to make the atmosphere even deeper.

- High-quality graphics implemented on the Unreal Engine 5, which creates a unique and frightening atmosphere of liminal places.

- Active entities that populate levels. Some may just follow you, creating a sense of paranoia, while others may openly prey on you.

- An important option at the request of the community: we have added the ability to completely disable entities. This allows you to enjoy a purely atmospheric exploration of locations, feel like a pioneer and take screenshots without interference (or just calmly study the architecture of the levels if you are too scared!).

Thus, the game already has a solid foundation and high replayability, and we continue to actively develop it, relying on your feedback.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

Yes, we plan to gradually increase the price after the release of the full version. Early access is an opportunity to support us at the start and purchase the game at the best price. The exact size of the increase will be announced closer to release.

For us, community opinion is invaluable. We will engage you through:

1. Official Discord Server: This will be the main platform for discussing ideas, collecting feedback and communicating with developers.

2. Steam Discussions: We will regularly read all of your comments and bug reports on Steam discussions.

3. Regular updates: We'll publish monthly development reports so you're always up to date with our progress and can see how your ideas play out in the game.

4. Polls and votes: On key issues (for example, what new level to add next) we can conduct votes among our most active participants.
