YOUR CHOICES CHANGE THE GAME

Among the Waves is a philosophical metroidvania where your decisions shape both the story and the way you play. Choose how to overcome obstacles, whom to help and what to sacrifice for your goal. The story has several endings. Which one is right is up to you.

THE CHILD HAS THREE BEATS. WILL YOU MAKE IT?

The Child's strength and time are limited. To reach the perfect ending, you will have to learn the game, master its mechanics and make hard decisions.

There is no quick and easy way. Every new run is a chance to use what you have learned, try another route and spend the Child's strength differently. Will you make it this time, or start over?

YOUR CHILD IS STRENGTH AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

The Child grants you abilities, but it needs care and attention itself. Watch its condition, mood and wishes: what you are capable of depends on them. Take care of the Child to fully unlock its powers and Gifts.

THEY SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN BORN

Every boss is different in look, abilities and fighting style. Each wields unique powers, and each of those powers has its limits.

Study your enemy's moves, pick your tactics and time every strike. Agility alone is not enough: victory takes knowledge of the mechanics and the skill to exploit the weak points of someone else's power.

ONE PLACE, MANY PATHS

Immersive-sim elements let you get through the same places in completely different ways. Slip past an enemy or fight? Tackle a hard platforming section or open a shortcut? You can even turn an enemy into an ally.

Control physical waves, teleport, change the mass of your own body and combine abilities. Pick the approach that suits you, and try another when your usual one stops working.

A WORLD WORTH A CLOSER LOOK

Cathedral domes, industrial machines, sacred imagery and an artificial mind that has learned to believe. This is Orthodoxpunk: a distant future where religious tradition is woven into technology.

Every room has a purpose, every detail a history. Architecture, objects and imagery hold cultural references you may spot at first glance or only discover on your next playthrough.
