Why Early Access?

“The unique gameplay of Kung Fu Card relies on extensive player feedback and suggestions to help us improve game balance, as well as enhance the visual and user interaction experiences. Early Access also provides us with the opportunity to further expand upon the original gameplay, ensuring we deliver the best possible gaming experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will be in Early Access for approximately 7 to 8 months. We will release a content update roadmap, and Early Access will conclude once those milestones are achieved. Of course, this timeline is not absolute and may change depending on the feedback we receive and the additional time needed to polish the game's quality. We will continually share our latest progress with the community throughout the development phase.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Kung Fu Card is planned to feature a massive content expansion compared to the initial Early Access release. We currently plan to include the following in the full version:
-PvE Roguelike Adventure Mode
-2-8 Player Multiplayer Plum Blossom Poles (Meihuazhuang) Mode
-New Martial Arts Factions: Wing Chun, Tai Chi, and Xinwu
-Additional character skins, foil cards, and alternate card art
-More interactive player dialogue options
-Additional arena stages”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“-7 distinct martial arts faction decks, including 3 beginner-friendly decks and 4 advanced decks.
-A complete PvE Arcade Campaign Mode, where players can build their own decks to battle and defeat 6 enemies.
-A comprehensive Ranked System featuring matchmaking, leveling, and token rewards.
-A friend and custom arena system that allows players to create private rooms and invite friends to battle.
-An in-game shop system where players can use tokens earned from ranked matches to draw rewards.
-A complete player career profile system with quest rewards.
-Extensive customization options allowing players to personalize skins, foil cards, alternate art, and interactive dialogues to build their ideal combinations.”

“We plan to slightly increase the price after Early Access concludes.”

“We will actively listen to all player community feedback, including suggestions from our X (Twitter), and Discord, and use it to improve the game. Additionally, the game will collect anonymous statistical data and feature an in-game feedback tool to make it easy for players to submit their thoughts and bug reports.”

Kung Fu Cards is built around familiar tabletop mechanics that are easy to grasp. Attack and defend by comparing card values from 1 to 9, then build straights and three of a kind to unleash powerful combos. If you've ever played a card game before, you'll feel right at home and be ready to jump into the action.

When fighting game counterplay meets classic card combinations, every Clash becomes a battle of wits. Form a straight or three of a kind with cards already on the field to trigger a [Disrupt]. You'll disrupt your opponent's pace, completely negate the damage of active cards, draw a powerful Technique card, and seize the initiative when the fight matters most.

Simple rules give rise to remarkably deep mind games. In every Clash, the defender has the advantage of reacting to the attacker's move. Will you overpower it with a higher card, play it safe with a Defense card, or form a combination to perform a Disrupt and turn the fight around? Your opponent will never know whether you're setting a trap or preparing the finishing blow until the very last moment.

The battle begins before the first card is even played. Choose from powerful schools like the fierce and explosive Baji Fist or the unpredictable Drunken Fist, each with its own unique combat philosophy. Beyond the basic 1–9 move cards, combine each school's exclusive Principles and Techniques to create your own fighting style.

The game currently features 1v1 ranked matches, local multiplayer battles, and a solo campaign. Future updates will also introduce a solo PvE roguelike adventure mode, as well as Free-for-All Pillar, a 2–8 player mode.
