Why Early Access?

“Player feedback is critical to the development process, so we're launching in EA to find players with a desire to grow and shape the game throughout the rest of development.

We're a two-person team but, with the help of our players, we'll make the best ball racing game on the market.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until June 2026 at least, but as long as needed to complete the base game.

Even if the game never takes off, we want to make sure it's bug free, performant on low-end hardware, and provides players with the tools to create, find, and share all the content they imagine, forever.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will look similar, but better.

We want to greatly improve the Track Editor and Community Hub, create more official content, improve performance across all hardware, improve the controller UI experience and, eventually... add ranked matchmaking.
”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Here's what you'll find:
- the first Trial (the Tower)
- 8 tracks from the official Circuit
- Fully-featured Track Editor
- The Hub, containing over 100 community-created tracks
- Some multiplayer features, such as ghosts and global leaderboards

We are still finding and fixing bugs, and the game doesn't run as well as it should on low-end hardware. We post regular updates in Discord, including patch notes and forward-looking discussion.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Ballest benefits immensely from community-created content. We want to make that easy, so we plan to take Ballest free-to-play after EA.

Because we want dedicated servers for smooth online play, some multiplayer features will be gated by a subscription that supports those servers.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're just two people. Your feedback helps us prioritize new ideas, improve existing features, and discover issues.

We are active in Discord and constantly looking for ways to improve your experience.”

Ballest of Them All is a speedrunning game about flow and shortcuts.

Hop, roll, and balance your way across a variety of tracks that test your skills and push physics in new ways. Earn medals, climb the global leaderboards, then explore what other players have built in the Hub.

With simple controls and smooth gameplay, you'll lose track of time hunting for the perfect run.
