Why Early Access?

“While the core game is already solid, Pico Drift will continue to improve throughout the Early Access phase. Collecting feedback from the community during development will help make the game even better.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Since the development has already taken nearly three years, it is reasonable to assume that Early Access could last just as long. The plan is to continue development as long as there is still room to improve the game or expand its content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In addition to refining the visuals and SFX, optimizing code and adding more content, further work is planned on features that are currently in alpha state or experimental (for example editor, cops, multiplayer modes), with community feedback playing an important role.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“- 11 cars across four different vehicle classes (D - A)
- 13 official events across the game modes Time Trial, Drift and Race + the option to create custom events with your own ruleset.
- Online leaderboards for official events. (Separate boards for each available class.)
- Over 100 unlockable parts (one-third of which change the vehicles appearance).
- Over 50 paint colors to unlock.
- 100+ building blocks: The map editor (currently in alpha) lets you build maps and create your own events and races.
- Explore each map in Free Roam, with traffic and police on the roads. (The police system is currently in alpha.)”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase within a reasonable range as more content is added to the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Getting feedback and staying in touch with the community are valuable throughout development. The game has its own Discord server. Pico Drift is also intended to provide a foundation for a community where players can connect, exchange tips and share their map / event creations.

Pico Drift is designed to be fun while also offering a strong competitive experience. It is being developed with the community in mind.”

About This Game

Welcome to the world of Pico Drift, a racing game that puts your driving skills and reflexes to the test. Customize your car, master the art of drifting, and leave the competition in the dust.

After the race, dive into the in-game map editor to create your own drift playgrounds and unique challenges. Build a racetrack with carefully planned obstacles, or craft your own city district where you can race through traffic to outrun the cops. We plan to continuously expand the game with more building blocks and new themes.

Inspired by the iconic racing games of the 2000s and the creativity of modern sandbox titles, Pico Drift aims to deliver a competitive experience for speed enthusiasts!
