Why Early Access?

“Player feedback has already played a massive role in Bat to Bed's development, and it would be a shame to not include our pc players in this process. The hardcore fans and speedrunners in particular have really helped us fine tune the game, and we suspect that pc may have even more of a vibrant speedrunning community that we can learn from.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The plan is to release the final 2 levels as quickly as we can, and to leave early access as soon as the game is content complete and rock solid. Should be achievable by the end of the year”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The early access version will simply turn into the 'full version' as we perfect it, and upon full release there will be no difference.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The early access version is fully formed and playable, but only contains a portion of the final scope as we finish the remaining levels and features.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, as we add the final two levels the plan is to increase the price by a few dollars per level, so by full release the game will likely be somewhere between $5 and $10.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is critical for us to get both the difficulty and final features of the game right. Polling for level difficulty, asking for feedback on specific features or mechanics, and just generally listening to what the players want. We will be interacting with players here on steam as well as on our socials where we'll be documenting the development every step of the way.”
