What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to get players in early to provide feedback that will help shape the game as we build it. Being a roguelike, with many randomized elements, it will also be helpful to get many hands on the game to assist in finetuning and balancing the experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect to be in Early Access for at least one year, but this could change based on how much player feedback we receive and implement.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We want to add a lot more cards to create a wide variety of deck combinations, more monsters to fight, some boss enemies, more junk to collect, and more environments to explore. Another element we would like to add is a story mode, that will have a beginning, middle, and end. The story mode would be a combination of cutscenes and environmental storytelling.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version has most of the framework and core mechanics implemented. It contains a tutorial section, a few different monsters to fight against, and over 100 cards to build from.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan on increasing the price after Early Access. The amount will be dependent on how much content we end up adding throughout Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We would love to hear feedback from the community at every step of the way! We'll be regularly reading the forums and talking with players about their feedback, our design choices, progress updates, and plans.”

About This Game

Step into the shoes of Perdita, as she searches the ever-changing, twisted hallways of The House of Hamelin for her missing cat, Paige. Gather strange cards to build a deck strong enough to fend off the gruesome creatures that lurk in the dark. Collect hair to trade with the strange lady who lives in the walls, for valuable items from her junk drawer.

FEATURES

  • Turn based combat against intelligent enemies who leverage their own deck of cards. The monsters are so gross you can almost smell them.
  • Build two unique decks at once. In addition to the main Spell deck, you'll also wield a side deck called the Ritual deck. The Ritual deck is a smaller set of cards that are more powerful and burn upon use.
  • Combat takes place in long, dark hallways that you and the monsters can move around in, at the cost of Stamina. Don't let the monsters catch you!
  • Explore the creepy atmosphere of Hamelin’s house between combat. Point and click exploration exploration allows the game to be played with one hand, so you can enjoy a sandwich in the other.
  • Every run is random! New level layout, new enemies, new cards, and more.
  • Permadeath with meta progression.
