Public Domain Worlds Collide in a Brand-New Platform Fighter, "Royalty Free-For-All™"

Get ready for a brand new cartoon smashup with Royalty Free-For-All™, a hand-drawn party brawler from the new indie studio AAAA Games. Iconic characters, settings, and songs from the public domain will collide like you’ve never seen before in approachable 2D battles for up to four players!

Royalty Free-For-All™ features original fighters based on timeless heroes and villains from the public domain, bringing an expressive twist and fun fighting abilities to classic names that will connect with players of all ages. Join Dorothy, Sweeney Todd, Mother Goose, and more, as they duke it out in a shared universe where Old Macdonald's, The Center of the Earth, The Hundred-Acre Wood, and many more beloved settings come to life with a handmade watercolor art style and modern takes on classic music, drawing players into a storybook experience brimming with personality.

Royalty Free-For-All™ honors the wide age (skill?) range of its source materials' fans by providing a true “pick up and play” experience that anyone can learn and enjoy. Madcap 2D brawls full of exciting combos and hilarious interactions are made possible with easy-to-learn controls: Light, Strong, and Special attacks can be executed with a single button press whether the player is on the ground or in midair, and provide unique depth for dedicated players who learn the strategic ins-and-outs of each fighter. Players will be able to take the multiplayer fun online thanks to its engine's use of rollback netcode, which allows for smooth quick-play matches with random opponents and private lobbies with friends and family.

Royalty Free-For-All™ is in active development targeting PC and consoles and will be playable at the upcoming PAX West event in Seattle, August 30th through September 2nd, at booth 1432.
