Why Early Access?

“This is the first game I have published. I want to learn, add features and fix mistakes based on user feedback. There are various features that could be added, and I will choose which to focus on based on interest from the players.”

“I am aiming for the game to be out of early access in less than a year’s time.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Ideas for improvements will be based on feedback. Current ideas include: better AI, better GUI, more custom rules options, networking, localization, better graphics/art, better animation, sound, new modes of play.”

“The core mechanics are implemented. The players can play against an AI or local multiplayer. The players can try a custom rules game or take on a set of prepared challenges.”

About This Game

Chopsticks is a logic hand game with its origins in Japan. It is played the world over.

Players extend hands to towards each other with one finger out and take it in turns to tap each others hands. The tapped hand extends more fingers equal to the fingers on the hand that tapped it. A hand full of fingers is "knocked out". There are many variants of rules many of which are captured here, including splitting fingers between hands, different number of hands and different number of fingers per hand.

Play against an AI or another human or try and complete a set of challenges.
