Leaving Early Access: Oct 29, 2026

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to take this roadtrip with the community riding shotgun. Early Access lets us test new ideas, see which builds, items and survivors people love or break the most and keep shaping the game together with the communty.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our plan is to stay in Early Access for up 6 to 12 months, but that could change depending on how the design develops with player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our goal for the full version is to expand the game with more of everything: playable characters, items, maps, bosses, and additional ways to push your runs to absurd levels. We also plan to further polish the core loop and add extra features and late-game variety based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable and already has the complete loop with unique playable characters to unlock, dozens of items to combine, different biomes and maps to explore and bosses to beat.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We might increase the price during the Early Access period as additional content and features are added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to hear every wild idea, bug report and balance rant. We try to keep a close eye on our Discord and Steam forums, so everything goes straight to the devs and the community has a real impact on what we build next.”

About This Game

Deadly Days: Roadtrip is a bullet heaven where your backpack is your build: loot weapons and gear, puzzle them into place and stack synergies until you break the game. Hit the road through the 2.5D pixel zombie apocalypse, collect fuel for your bus and decide when to extract – alone or in co-op with a friend who doesn’t even need to own the game!

Each stop brings you closer to the final boss. Or to that one legendary combo that melts the undead like butter on a freshly grilled banana.

Can you find the best loot? Space is tight on a road trip. Every weapon and item takes up room in your tiny backpack: arrange them just right to have their adjacency effects stack and power up your weapons, merge them into stronger versions or craft brand-new legendaries.

Build a lightning-fast dash maniac or pack so much firepower the horde crumbles on sight. Keep stacking and at some point the numbers stop making sense. Congratulations, you broke the game. Still not enough? In Endless Mode, your build keeps scaling until it or your PC finally gives up.

Can you find the survivors? The real loot is the friends you make along the way. Find, rescue and recruit eccentric survivors, each with their own playstyle and unique items.

Even better with a real friend: team up on the couch and share the screen, the loot and the blame. No couch nearby? Steam Remote Play Together takes your road trip online, no second copy needed.

Can you escape the horde? Forget the rest stop for fries and a burger – trust us, you don’t want to know where those come from. On this road trip, every stop is a life-or-death decision. Some come with a twist: elite zombies only, bonus XP or a shady merchant selling cursed goods.

Levels are procedurally generated and the route is yours. Scavenge enough fuel to get your bus rolling again. Push on for better loot or extract while you still can? The horde won’t wait for your answer.

Every run counts. Back at base, invest your hard-earned loot to grow stronger and unlock more. Complete runs to collect bomb parts and finally blow the MKing headquarters sky-high. Turns out their Secret Sauce started this whole mess.

Between trips, take on the Weekly Challenge, where everyone plays with the same random survivor and the same crazy modifiers. Then climb the leaderboards and dig through stats that track everything: every run, every build, every embarrassing death.
