Why Early Access?

“Community involvement has been central to Cat Cafe Manager 2: Big City Bliss since our 2024 Kickstarter, and Early Access is the natural next step in that collaboration. It gives players a direct role in shaping and improving the game on its journey to full release. For our small development team—never more than 10 people—it also provides the time and resources to fulfil the game’s potential, while allowing us to respond to feedback from our dedicated community before taking the big step of a full launch.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We’re aiming to have the full release ready about 15 months after launching in Early Access. This will give us time to expand the existing features and add the features and content needed to ensure the game’s sustainable future. It will also give us time to incorporate feedback from the Early Access community and take the game in new directions we might not have anticipated on our own.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“All main features and systems will be in place when Early Access launches. The primary difference between Early Access and 1.0 will be in terms of scope. Through several updates leading up to 1.0, we’ll add more areas to discover, cats, customer types, furniture sets, cafe customization options, characters, and more. The full 1.0 version will also feature a fully developed narrative that ties together everything happening in the world of Cat Cafe Manager 2: Big City Bliss!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will feature one explorable area—Limeline Village—and the essential characters you’ll need to get your Cat Cafe up and running. All the systems for decorating, expanding, and managing your cafe are in place. You can adopt and care for cats, while customers visit your cafe, interact with them, and order food and drinks.

Outside the cafe, you can explore Limeline Village with your cats! You can also complete community quests to upgrade your street rank and unlock more—and better—options for improving your cafe. And, of course, you can shop at a selection of essential stores—everything you need to start and continue improving your Cat Cafe for around 10 hours of gameplay!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The Early Access version will be priced lower than the full release, although we haven’t finalized the exact prices yet.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We encourage you to share feedback on the Steam forums and in our community Discord server. This helps us understand your experience with the game and keep the conversation going. We’ll actively look for opportunities to act on good suggestions and address issues raised by the community.”
