Lootbound is a pixel-art top-down roguelite RPG with turn-based combat, deep inventory management, and party-building mechanics — where every run is a roll of the dice and no two escapes are ever the same.

You’re a treasure hunter who’s braved the depths of ancient dungeons, defeated their guardians, and claimed their loot. But getting out is the real challenge. With your bags full of valuable gear and danger lurking around every corner, you’ll need to fight your way back to the surface — or die trying.

Core Gameplay Loop:

• Prepare your run from the main hub: build your party, equip your heroes, and optimize your inventory.

• Navigate the world via a branching path on the global map — each route offering different challenges, enemies, and events.

• Reach the boss room, face a final test, and choose how your run ends — with glory, loss, or something in between.
  

The goal is to reach the boss room by exploring the map and collecting armor pieces that form the boss’s body, unlocking the final battle. A victory strengthens the team with upgrades, rare items, and access to new areas, making each run progressively more rewarding.

Before each run, players roll three dice: a D10, a D12, and a D20. These rolls shape your expedition by applying unique buffs, debuffs, and gameplay modifiers that stay active for the entire run. Inspired by the spirit of Dungeons & Dragons, this system ensures every journey is a gamble — and an opportunity.

As you ascend, you’ll need to make tough tactical decisions. Who carries what? Which items are worth protecting? Will that enchanted sword survive one more swing? With limited inventory space and gear that can break under pressure, smart resource management is just as crucial as battlefield tactics.
